Worst app in the history of apps
I’ve had the Thinkware 750 for a long time. The app has always been mediocre, but recently, it absolutely refuses to connect. In troubleshooting solutions, I come here to find out that it’s been 4 years since the lazy developers have bothered updating?
Looks my solution will have to be buying a new dash cam. And after this experience, one thing is certain: it won’t be from Thinkware.

Only app compatible with X350 and does not work anymore
On ios 17 I am constantly getting unable to connect to wifi error even though phone is connected to dashcam wifi.
The Dashcam is great. This app, not so much.
I’ve had the Thinkware Dashcam F750 model, front and rear camera for just over 10 years, it’s a great camera and never had issues with it. This app however has always been buggy. Constant hard time connecting the dashcam to my phone via Wifi. It would eventually connect after 3-5 minutes of fiddling with it.
The past few months however this just refuses to connect anymore, even when my iPhone does connect to Thinkware on Wifi, the app simply prompts I “am not connected to Wi-Fi.” It is a 10+ year old app that hasn’t been updated in a long time. I’m not sure if anyone’s looking over this app to make bug fixes anymore? If I need videos now, I just have to remove the memory card and download them to my computer.

App unable to connect to wi-fi
iPhone Wi-Fi under settings is connected to the dash cam, however when in this app, it is unable to connect to the Wi-Fi to access the camera. Restarted the dash cam and I could connect, however when I pressed “Continuous” in the app, it loads forever until it prompted the dash cam will restart recording due to inactivity for 2 minutes. After this, it could never connect again until I have to restart the dash cam but the same loading issue persists. Restarting my iPhone, forget and reconnect Wi-Fi connection in settings and delete and reinstalling this app does not solve the in-app’s Wi-Fi connectivity with the dash cam despite it is connected in iPhone’s Wi-Fi in iPhone Settings. Extremely disappointed for such a reputable brand.

Wifi won’t connect
Seriously this is the Achilles heel of this device and it App. I have location enabled, entered correct password, disconnected from other Wifi devices but it still won’t connect. I have tried reloading app but no help. Fortunately they have a contact for support which I will be using.
Good camera. Terrible app
I really do. It understand how this app can be so bad, when the camera is so good. Almost impossible to get a WiFi connection to the camera so end up removing the SD card and using my wife’s laptop. So disappointing that the app connection is soooooooooo bad. It’s not just quite bad it’s so bad.
No good
Most of the time the app does not work. I connect with wifi and keeps saying connected to a smart phone while the app says please try again. Theres better out there.
Please update the software!
I can no longer connect to my dashcam via Wifi on an iOS device since iOS doesn't accept the outdated security protocol.

Works just fine
I don’t know what all the hate is for - as of October 22 they seem to have fixed the bugs. Set-up was a snap. No issues at all.
Average at best
This needs a revamp pronto, connection issues flat out, slow, not user friendly at all. Disconnects randomly, just all round poor app, you hope to not need it but when you do be sure it won’t be an easy operation
