Description of SkyMD 24/7 Telehealth

SkyMD is a national telehealth platform, specializing in multiple fields of medicine like dermatology and primary care, staffed with doctors that treat patients every day across America. With online dermatologists and primary care doctors in all 50 US States, SkyMD's medical team of doctors is literally available to treat patients in every zip code, from infants to centenarians! Our online group of doctors operates no differently than any traditional doctor's office, other than no appointments, and you having more time to interact with your doctor. SkyMD accepts most medical insurances, and treats the privacy of your medical data with utmost importance. Our medical professionals are all board certified doctors, with years of experience in preventing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of skin conditions and primary healthcare. As a group of practicing medical doctors, SkyMD also prescribes medications, the same as if you were evaluated by a doctor in person. Today's medical industry, along with State Boards of Medicine and the majority of private insurance networks, considers telemedicine as equal to being seen in person, and most medical insurance networks consider telemedicine as a covered medical benefit. Dermatology and primary healthcare are obvious and practical fit for the use of telemedicine. Your SkyMD doctor now has the flexibility to evaluate your uploaded photos, or converse with you in a video conference, or even recommend that you still see a doctor in person, depending on what's the right treatment model for each patient. Access your dermatologist and primary care doctor anytime, anywhere at your fingertips. Here's how SkyMD works: 1. Download the app (for free) and connect to your dermatologist or primary care doctor. Tell us where you live by entering your zip code, and we will recommend you a doctor, or you can also select any doctor from the wide range of options available, who are licensed to practice in your home state. 2. Take photos of your condition like, skin, hair or nail concern, and complete a medical intake comprised of a few simple questions about your primary concern, symptoms, medical history, allergies, and any other information that you like to tell us about. This will help the doctor to understand your condition better in detail and provide the necessary treatment to you. 3. Your doctor will evaluate your case, diagnose your condition, and recommend a personalized treatment plan, including prescriptions if necessary. You tell us where to send the prescription by choosing the pharmacy of your choice and we will do! Yes, your choice of pharmacy! Common issues that can be diagnosed and treated through the SkyMD include but are not limited to, Dermatology conditions: Acne Rosacea Skin discoloration Rash Hyperhidrosis Eczema Psoriasis Skin lesion Nail issues Hair loss Skin aging Cold sores Eyelash thinning Dandruff Excessive sweating Cosmetic procedure follow up Surgical procedure follow up Any other skin conditions you have Primary Care Conditions: Cold & flu symptoms Allergies Sinus-related symptoms Cough, breathing or asthma symptoms Sore throat / infections Diabetes-related symptoms Painful joints Headache, migraine, ear ache Back problems Depression, fatigue, low energy, anxiety Stomach bug, abdominal pain, cramps Sprains, strains, bruises and wounds Urinary / bladder symptoms I just don't feel good overall. Reviews of SkyMD 24/7 Telehealth

  • Wonderful Resource

Fiona Rahbar and her staff are wonderful. I have struggled with painful, persistent cystic acne for 20 years now and have tried every possible medication, topical, etc with no fix. I started using SkyMD about 6 months ago and have had a dramatic decrease in my cystic acne. I have an appointment monthly where Fiona evaluates every part of me through telehealth and then sends a prescription in. I feel like I get a more thorough evaluation here than I would in a medical office. When my appointment day comes, I am able to answer the medical questions and submit pictures as I am available through the day; there is no set appointment time that I have to take off work to attend. She and her staff answer my questions and address my concerns throughout the month, well after my appointment has concluded. They are all very kind and professional. I am thankful for this service and am finally hopeful that I will be free from acne very soon!
  • App doesn’t work on my iPhone

First of all, expect a totally different experience with this company if you were going through insurance. I listed that I had Medicare and it listed five doctors that it said excepted Medicare. Then I went through the whole 40 minutes of entering information, my insurance card, my drivers license and pictures of my face only to get a text back later that was supposedly from the doctor I chose, that I couldn’t open on my iPhone because it require downloading the app and the app doesn’t show anything other than advertisements. Luckily, I was able to download the app on my iPad to see that I got a message from a supposed medical asstThat said that the doctor I chose did not accept my insurance so she would have to assign me a different doctor and because I was going through insurance, they would require an actual telehealth visit on computer which I thought was required of any telehealth visit (Computer or phone contact with the doctor) but apparently, if you pay cash on here, no, Dr. ever hast to see or speak with you. For all you know, a secretary is prescribing your medication. The fact that the app doesn’t work on iPhone and that they don’t update the doctors that accept her insurance, or just to measure headaches that make this app a waste of time. but if you’re willing to pay $80 cash (which is what I should’ve just done), you can likely get whatever you need prescribed same day instead of going through the clown show I did.
  • Lifesaver!

I can't count the times this app/these dermatologists have saved my skin! It's near impossible to find an in-person Derm on any kind of short notice & they'd def charge more than $80
I've suffered with perioral dermatitis, subclinical acne, alopecia areata, among other more minor (temporary) skin conditions. Each time, they've been quick to diagnose the issue & help me figure out what the best course of action is to tackle it/solve it as quickly as possible.
I always appreciate that I can get near-immediate answers to any questions I have whether they're about my problem at-hand or about the diagnosis or treatment plan
I highly recommend this app to anyone looking to have better skin & I tell people on a regular basis that my dermatologist is online because it's SO MUCH BETTER than waiting 6/9/12 months with whatever is ailing your skin to see the same kind of doctor in-person & hear the same diagnosis, but pay way more!
    10/10
