Unethical Game
I was actually enjoying this game quite a lot for a couple of weeks, I even opted to spend a few bucks because I was enjoying it so much. However, the level at which the difficulty spikes is ludicrous.
I never experienced having one of my mining outposts taken from me until I reached level 25. Now, every time I log in, I find that multiple outposts have been "taken" from my by the server. When I try to take them back, the level of the bases on them are so high that I may have a 20% success rate at getting them back... at best, if I'm lucky. So basically now I spend my entire time gaming try to get back those outposts. I never have fuel to mine, and apparently the difficulty of destroying a rival base spikes after a certain point too. I literally have NOTHING to do now except for attempting to get back outposts.
Venan, you guys made my favorite iOS game of all time and even decided to update it years later. I applaud you for that. However, I curse you for this abomination you've made this time around. Seriously, I should have known better from personal experience that wasting money on F2P nonsense like this would not end well. Now you have my money and I have gotten stuck in a situation that I can only describe as SEVERE GRIEFING by the developers!

(Fixed) Saved Game Disappeared
Edit: they fixed it! Oh yeah!
Played for awhile, until my whole investment/time disappeared because my saved game on the server wasn't there. Looks like some technical issues on the server side.
Won't be playing if my time keeps disappearing.

Bad scaleing
This is an ok game fun to jump in every couple of hours the most glaring problem is when you level up your HQ all the mining bases regardless of income all reset and have every defence besides the walls maxed out so expect to be brutalised until you max out the upgrades on your ship

Good game....but!!!
This game is a bit of fun, but I have had my progress in the game disappear 2 times now. First time I was at level 8 and was progressing and having a good time, then I closed the game out and came back later in the day only to find I had to start all over. Second time I was at level 20 and had everything maxed out for my level and was saving to upgrade my HQ, only to come back to the game and find that I was no longer in my guild and was back at level 8. Not about to start over again so I deleted it. Don't know if other's have been having the same issue or not, but there will be no third time for me.
As for the review regarding the resource bases. You can attack the base several times, taking it a little at a time to recapture it. Just don't let your ship get destroyed during your efforts and leave the attack when your shift is getting low on life. Hope that helps.
If they would fix the issue with progress disappearing, this game would be a solid 4 star, but with the issue as it is, I can't give it more than 2.5 stars.

Et Tu Brute?
This is a masterful done Clash of Clans-esque game with many mechanics of Space Miner seamlessly integrated into it. Now why the two stars? Because it's like Clash of Clans. Venan has taken their crown jewel and turned it into a masterfully executed excrement of the lowest template on the App Store, just because of greed. They could have gone so far with the Space Miner we all knew and loved, but did they? No, they chose to copy the cheapest, easiest game template in the hopes of getting some bored guys to spend hundreds of dollars on a game so they can build buildings faster than the developers so chose. They have ruined so much potential and quality, and, especially in the face of their recent free update of Space Miner, I cannot believe that this is the same group of developers who have made one of the App Store greats in my opinion. Venan, you have fallen so, so far and I hope you understand my title and how pained and angry I, along with many others, am (or else I will feel even more betrayed). To the consumers, don't get this and support this sad, sad excuse for Venan entertainment's sequel to Space Miner.

Brilliant!
Very rarely writing reviews but this game deserved it, very goof sci fi type of clash of clans with it's own tweaks just much better, try it!

Great Game until it erased my progress.
After I finally got my level 3 headquarters, I LOST EVERYTHING! Other than that great game kinda like Star Wars commander.
