New updates cause crashes
Each time there is an update, the app won’t open. Crash after crash after crash. This has been a continual problem for nearly a year. Once again, there was an update recently, and guess what? The app crashes every time I try to open it. I haven’t been able to use it for weeks. Unusable. When it works, it’s fine. But what use is an app that won’t open? I’ve deleted it from my iPhone and downloaded it (numerous times). Still crashes. I’ve contacted them weeks ago. Still nothing.
This afternoon (August 29, 2024), I bought a brand new iPhone 15 Pro. I had hoped this would make a difference. It didn’t. The app still crashes immediately upon opening. Yes, I deleted it completely and reinstalled it too. But that didn’t help either. Extremely disappointed. None of my other many apps does this. Ive tried countless thesaurus apps when I first started searching for them over a year ago.. This one was hands down, the best with so many more synonyms for words then you get with a lot of other thesaurus-dictionary kind of apps. It’s free. Businesses and developers that make these kinds of apps are an automatic win in my book. You get all the information for free, and you can watch an ad for even MORE info or you have the option of a small fee which is reasonable and not a huge over-the-top price that makes no sense for what you get. I saw someone wrote that you can’t control the font size and they couldn’t see the text blah blah. Well fyi-this is not specifically made for Mac. It’s an iOS app that we can use on Mac which is just a bonus. Plus toggle zoom, i do it all the time with a lot of apps because the fonts are small across the board on Mac bc I don’t like big bulky text so I make do with small fonts and just using control+ scrolling in with mouse but there are tons of ways to customize zoom. I’m sure there’s a bunch of typos bc the font is small right now while I’m writing this and I’m in a hurry. Lol but anyway.. this app is awesome. Get it. Thx (:Show lessFauxPix

Great app, I like the favorites feature. Just missing a few helpful characteristics: In addition to favorites, it would be nice if the liked synonyms rearranged to show first on the list. I tend to use the favorites option to save words that I frequently search synonyms for, so I don’t actually have a way to save the new words that I learn otherwise the two sections would get mixed together. There should be an option to save new words/vocabulary separately from favorites. Once this vocabulary is stored in a separate folder, it would be nice if they could be reviewed like flash cards. Ideally, the flash cards should be able to play one by one with audio definitions so that the user can engage in hands-off learning while doing other tasks with headphones. These suggestions upgrade the app from just showing synonyms to helping users actually learn the synonyms. It will really help to set the app apart from competitors.Show lessChelybelly13579

I paid for a yearly subscription of Power Thesaurus, and was allowed full access. It hasn’t even been a year as yet and the app won’t allow me to access the full subscription. I’m not sure why. I created a password but it still is not allowing full access. Not sure what to do. The app has really helped a lot with researching words for assignments. Can we fix this problem? I would give it a five star rating but because of the access problem I’m giving it a four star rating.Show lessAlba500

In the 20+ years I've spent writing and editing I've relied on virtually every English language thesaurus worth using. Most have been so-so; a few have been useful & decently organized.
None of them, however, provide the comprehensive, intuitive, creative -- even vibrant -- word and terminology solutions that make Power Thesaurus unique. This app is very helpful not just for school but for daily life it helps for poetry essay's etc it’s also not that hard to use I downloaded this app like 4 days ago bravo to whomever made this app 👏😊 bravo
