  • Cans for coins

This app is really cool. Cashing in on your sweatcoins is the biggest downside of this app. If you’re looking to get paid for walking, you’re better off getting some garbage bags and collecting empty cans off the street to sell for scrap metal. I’ve had this app for a over a year so let me tell you about my experience. I’m sitting at 1,000 sweatcoins with nothing of value to use them on. When I initially downloaded the app, I was disappointed with the rewards being offered and the rewards have never gotten better. You may find a promo coupon to spend your sweats on but you still have to pay high shipping. It would be nice if sweatcoin could cover the high cost of shipping associated with some of their physical promos, but that can’t happen because sweatcoins have no value. The 4-5 physical product promo deals are usually all cheap looking products you wouldn’t buy if you saw them at a store. Overall I would say this app sells you a dream in exchange for collecting your data. Apparently I’m their target audience though because I keep the app around hoping one day my sweatcoins will do something more than make me upset

If you’re looking to get rewards just for walking, you’re better off collecting a bunch of soda cans or aluminum and selling it for scrap metal. Sweatcoin is the equivalent of you collecting 40 bags of empty soda cans and only being able to cash in as many cans as you can carry in your hands to the scrap yard. I’ve had this app for a over a year and I’ve cashed in one 1 promo offer. When you first log into the sweatcoin app and look at the rewards, keep in mind the rewards won’t ever get better. You won’t win any of the auctions. You may find a promo offer you like but you still have to pay shipping. Would be nice if sweatcoin could cover the high costs of shipping on these promos but sweatcoins can’t do that because they are borderline worthless. If you have any issues cashing in on a promo offer, good luck figuring out that mess. The one offer I bought I had to buy twice because something weird happened the first time. I contacted sweatcoin but received a response. I don’t really care. You get what you pay for and the only thing I’ve paid for has been shipping on the marketplace offer I had to buy twice.

  • Meh

Updated review: This app has gotten worse. There used to be free stuff and now it's pretty much only discounts, often deals you can get by just going to the company's website. It functions more as ad space for the companies listed in the "marketplace". I have thousands of sweatcoins and nothing to spend them on at this point. As a pedometer it works pretty decently, but the whole "walk for money" thing is largely non existent at this point and that's the main draw.

Old review: I like this app because, even though I try not to bring my phone everywhere with me, the idea of meeting a daily goal or a weekly/monthly step average provides an incentive to take the stairs, park in the back of the lot, go for a walk, run another lap, etc. It's a fun way to keep track of my habits and improve them. I have also gotten some cool stuff from it. It doubles as an advertising platform for startups which I guess is cool. I'm not much of a consumer but I've tried stuff I wouldn't have otherwise tried because of the offers on sweatcoin. It's fun. I also like the new daily bonus format because it encourages the user to at least hit 2,000 steps each day. My job is sedentary, so it helps me get up and move to get coin. Overall, cool.

  • Not what it used to be

I made my account December 4, 2017 and I’m not going to complain about the algorithm for getting/achieving sweatcoins. I’m a moderate walker and I take public transportation so most the times when I am walking it’s just to get from point A to point B but that’s not what I’m complaining about what I am complaining about is the Rewards. when I first started using this app, you had the ability to get iPhones to get prepaid debit cards of your choice or just straight up transfer your sweatcoins into cash via your PayPal account now all of those options are gone and the sweatcoins app just looks like one giant advertisement everything in the shop tab says you can get this item 40% off or 30% off but there’s a catch you can only get these deals if your first time users, these aren’t even regular coupons most of the time you’re lucky if you can get 40% 30% or 20% off deal without having to be a first time user I’ve constantly complained within the app about the rewards and I have not seen anything being done about them so at this point, I might as well just delete the app and free up some space on my phone but if you just want to use this app as a fun little challenge between friends while you’re jogging or going about your day-to-day activities, then this is the app for you otherwise don’t even bother

  • I dunno

Ever wish you could pay for spam? Well now you can. Sweatcoin is an app designed to give you rewards for walking. The more you walk the more coins you earn. The majority of rewards you can purchase with your sweatcoins are “exclusive offers” from the sweatcoin shop which are the same offer you can normally find on the companies website or through google. The step tracking abilities in sweatcoin can also a little unreliable unless you give sweatcoin unnecessary permissions for tracking steps. All that being said, I’m still going to use sweatcoin. I’ve had it for like 6 months to a year hoping one day I will find something worth buying in the shop. I think there is a cryptocurrency coming soon. It got delayed upon USA launch day for a couple months. I don’t expect the sweatcoin for crypto exchange to be worth anything considering how little value sweatcoins hold in the shop. Anything of real value in the shop is quickly sold out. Auctions are overinflated because everyone has a large number of sweatcoins they have saved up due to the horrible shop options. I dunno, maybe I’m wrong. I hope it does well but since Ive been using sweatcoin I haven’t seen anything improving. Not sure how you can back a cryptocurrency with something of little to no value.

We're sorry for any frustration here with rewards being sold out quickly. Please understand that there is only one type of offers which sell out quickly, and these are the self funded offers which are paid for by Sweatcoin ourselves and why they're in limited supply. We have heaps of other offers in our marketplace and we'd encourage you to also check these out! These are partnerships with other brands and change daily!
  • Absolute trash

I have never taken time to review any app but I felt very compelled to as I just tried to send feedback through from a prompted “do you love out app??” and after several attempts of hitting the frowned face and explanation with it saying “could not send feedback” as an error code…guess what?? It went through fine when I changed it to a smiley face….hmmm. So basically I signed up for it a few years ago seeing if I could get something back for the steps I was doing. At the time they would occasionally post some Apple products (from big big points accumulating, but fair enough) along with some little $5 things and some 50% off things. I don’t mind being marketed to in a free app as long as they’re providing value to me. Maybe the paid version has more, but I’m not here to buy things I’m here to trade an activity for goods at the cost of being marketed to. Now it’s nothing but free trials and coupons after years of steps. Don’t waste your time, they don’t want to use those dollars the marketers are paying them to make it a remotely valuable experience for users. I don’t even trust they’re properly donating from the “donation” section of purchases. The fake feedback was what disgusted me enough to make a public review- if you’ve built an app that so bad you won’t even take feedback within the app, I guess I’ll just have to post publicly.

Hey -- thanks for your message. Please understand that, though we'd love to give you money, gift cards, and the world for your steps, the app works by partnering with brands and companies who value your steps as a currency. While we would love to have a partnership with PayPal, Amazon, and so on, it hasn't been possible yet. We understand that some users don't find something they like right away with our app options, but please understand that this is a more difficult time than usual for companies to give away items for steps alone. We hope to partner with more and more brands, so we can give you more for your steps, so do keep us around!
  • Unimpressive rewards

If you’re considering getting into some of these Walk For Money apps, this one is not for you if your goal is to get something out of it.
I work a job where I am on my feet and easily reach 10k steps/ day without trying that hard, and I took to liberty a while ago to compare several of these apps at once. While the 10k / 10 coin daily cap is not my biggest gripe, it is combined with the lackluster “shop”, which at first glance SEEMS chock full of things to redeem, but in reality holds little more than affiliate influencer links for various brands and products. If you happen to be interested in the products they have deals for, congratulations, knock yourself out. But for the rest of us not interested in crypto or buying a Smart Water Bottle™️ that tells your phone how much water you drank from it, the lack of actual transferable rewards is a bit underwhelming. The gift cards are never in stock. They’ll probably respond and say they try their best to make it fair and yada yada, but compared to other apps which, even if the progress towards cashing something tangible out is very small and incremental, DO tangibly move you towards a real reward and you know exactly where you stand at all times!
You can try this one out if you don’t believe me, but I’d say you’re better off just using the links from your favorite Youtubers’ ad reads, cause those don’t require you to walk 10k steps for a week to redeem.

  • SICK TO MY STOMACH😤😤😤

You make me SICK!!!!! I open this stupid dumb app every freaking day for 2 years and you know what I was able to get with all those steps, blood and tears? Air!! I get freaking air, I walk 20,000 steps in 3 days and what’s my prize? Air! And then they have the nerve to offer a premium account 😂😭😮‍💨🤣🤣🤣🤣I paid for it because it was the only way I could get more sweat could be eventually you just stop getting them when you reach a certain amount. 2 million Sweatcoins and nothing to show for it pathetic!!!! I open this app again today and I started exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms this is the worst app in the history of the human existence and the spiritual one. At first I enjoyed this app because despite practically having nothing of value in the store I enjoyed a few premium pandora accounts and tidal accounts that’s literally the best thing I have ever gotten. You need to shut this app down until you my able to go to a thrift store or whatever non-profit organization you go to get your free cheap absolutely useless and meaningless items. If I had to choose between my gf having a child while she’ has sweat coin on her phone And saving another persons life a person who doesn’t have sweat coin I would force my girl to have a abortion so she won’t have to live with the pain of this app.
