Requires an account, ok but…
My current Hangaaar account does not work! Makes no sense.
This app is basically a web browser. Sorry to say but it needs more work to be an actual useful app.oooKDooo
Adequate, but not great
I was under the impression that the PSTAR quizzes are inside the app, but it just launches a browser (kinda defeats the purpose of an app…). Nice of the developers to offer the flash cards for free though, as per other reviews, you do have to make an accountyanr163
Stop asking for accounts.
For some reason this free app is asking for registration with your email. No I’m not giving you my email. I uninstalled before getting to the first question.RiderFan09

Hi there, yes, the reason why the App is requiring an email address is so that you can use this App to connect to your aviation courses on Hangaaar. Transport Canada has ground school requirements that you need to meet in order to get a Private Pilot or Commercial Pilot License. If the App didn’t ask for your email, how could your work become part of hour ground school record?Amazing amazing
This app is just brilliant it’s amazing.. I just used this app for my PSTAR AND I got 100% correct.

Ruined a perfectly good app
Decided to review PSTAR content about 6 months after I initially studied/wrote it. Very disappointed to see that what was a perfectly functional and helpful app has since been ruined and is now borderline unusable. Why am I being prompted to purchase “FREE PSTAR” material? Doesn’t sound so free to me. Please bring back the old style where you could study specific sections or be quizzed at random. Very disappointing.
Additionally, since changing their app they now require a login and have been spamming my email with “tips” that I never asked for.Show lessMalcolm1995

duplicated answers
Duplicated answers and some of them are wrong. Reindeer question should be no less than 2000 FT AGL but the answers listed have 2 1500 FTKylelein

Thanks for the heads up, Kyle! Rather than leave us a review for this, it'd actually be much more useful to have you call or email us with some screenshots so that we can dig into this and fix the issue that you seem to be having. An easy way to resolve this in the meantime is to just restart the PSTAR App after each quiz, and don't leave it open in the "background" and come back later. (The reason this works is that every time you restart the PSTAR App it'll pull out fresh questions and answers from our database where we've checked and there are no duplicate answers.) However, if you leave the App "hanging" in the "background" and if you happen to lose internet signal strength and restart your quiz, there may be problems connecting to our database of questions. For that reason, if you restart the App you will always get a fresh batch of questions. (I know this sounds like typical advice for MANY technical things... if you have a problem, just turn it off and restart, haha!) That said, if this happens again to you, please take a screenshot and call us: 1.84.HANGAAAR (that's toll free 1.844.264.2227) or email us info@hangaaar.com and we can work with you to update this so that it improves the App for everybody! I know the heliport question that you're referring to, but perhaps you didn't know that Transport Canada updated their database of PSTAR questions and that was one of the questions that they removed! (There were several little updates that Transport Canada made, but our App is current as of November 2019 here when I'm writing this reply.)
