  • Bonus game still impossible to finish 3 years later..

As described by many other reviewers, the jigsaw gate puzzle is still a game ender. You can’t place the last piece, and you can’t skip the minigame to avoid this glitch. That means you can’t finish the bonus, you don’t get access to the secret room, etc.

Big Fish should be ashamed for failing to fix this for more than 3 years, but then they’ve demonstrated that their iPad users are the red headed stepchildren of their fan base. Their poor treatment of us has assured that I will never turn to their PC games as a substitute.

My rating absent this glitch would have been a 3, due primarily to the short length of the main game, the lack of novelty in the puzzles, and the blurry graphics. I won’t play this again.
  • Missed this one!

Found this looking for another game to play and am very happy I did. This is my favorite kind of game. Different variations on the HOS and several puzzles mixed in. Even though it is not brand new...it holds up! Would have given 5 stars except for the fact that the dreaded DARK scenes are sooo prevalent.
  • Inconsistent but not Glitchy

This game was a mix of challenging puzzles and non-puzzles (you untangle the rope by tapping it a few times).
Frequently, The Detective (player) has to go back to his/her home, but you can't get there without tapping the hint button. Halfway through, the storyline switched and the end was in no way related to the beginning. Bonus game was mostly dialogue between characters with odd speech bubbles that were not a part of main game.
Free play was of decent length but after the game was purchased it was ridiculously short and the puzzles were easier.
  • Bonus Game Glitch

I'm on the bonus game but can't finish. There is a glitch at trying to finish the puzzle and open the gate. Please fix...other than that, love the game but it is short. Game before this one in this series was much longer.

Wrote the above back in Aug 2015 and nothing has been done to fix the glitch I encountered in the bonus game. Read some other reviews that state the same glitch. Since my last review over two months ago, I thought this glitch would've been fixed. Do you think something can be done to remedy this? Thanks!
  • Disappointed

This is the first Elephant game that I didn't really enjoy. Kept finding myself thinking "I can't wait for this to be over." Which is not typical for Elephant. Graphics are the quality you would expect from Elephant. I prefer more HOS than this game offered. Don't particularly care for the mini puzzles and this game has plenty.
  • Glitchy

I purchased this game for iPad. The graphics are quite good. The atmosphere as well and I liked globe trotting to different cities aspect. The puzzles are a bit varied, some good and some are so easy they seem pointless. Tastes that way are subjective though. The game seems a bit short to me. The big negatives for me was it is somewhat glitchy. A few areas were very hard to get to respond to screen touches. When it was puzzles requiring a lot of clicks to rotate items it was pretty annoying. The worst thing though was in the bonus play. There is a bug where at the gate before the show down with Chaos you use an amulet and magic by solving an extremely easy jigsaw puzzle. The game keeps kicking you back to the jigsaw with one piece missing. On the Big Fish forums I read several others had this issue as well. I also notice it was an issue for others in the reviews here. When I tried to submit my issue in the technical issues section though it was locked from accepting posts.
  • HOP, teleport, make another key, retrieve item, repeat.

😨🙎🏻I've never teleported so many times and had the main focus of a game running around gathering basic items to fit and open other items just to play the HOP to get another item to open....then teleport and teleport and teleport.

And how many keys can you make until you resent making them? I stopped counting the drawer pulls. The broken wheel just to gain entry? 😭 It was rudimentary fillers all the way through.

The hint button was useless because there's nothing to figure out. 😴 It should have been labeled TELEPORT.

There's no real 🔍Detective story or excitement to keep you going, most of the puzzles were so simple and basic I could just cry. The pendulum one?! Come on!! 😩 Giving the bat candy? 🍭

I just became sadder and more disappointed as I went along. 😞

    🔊WAKE UP!!! 📢
I expect SO much more from you guys! 😳 The only reason I continued to play and gave two stars was because the graphics were SPECTACULAR. Really stellar job.

But the game itself was for 9 and under....if not younger 🚼......but definitely not over.

    Sorry. 😕
  • Great surprise

When I first purchased this app, I wasn't sure I would like it. I was really surprised how much I did like it. It was much better than many of the recent games. It had a great, if creepy, storyline. It also got you much more immersed in the story as if you were there first person. I hope they bring us more games like this.
  • Same here, good....but too short

I felt like more was going on in the bonus game & I was shocked at how abrupt the main game ended. But it was still a pretty good game & hard to put it down till the end.
  • Good game EXCEPT FOR----

It would have been a great game except for the annoying popups asking me to rate it. I have a feeling that's why a lot of your games are crashing. Those popups are interfering with the game. The graphics were great. The game was shorter than most games you offer. I also found it quicker to use the hint button and transport that way, instead of using the map. Please get rid of those popup requests. OKAY?
