Good idea but poor execution
Transfers don’t go through when scheduled. The app states that transfers go through within three business days. This is not true. I have been waiting long past three days and am still waiting for transfers to be processed. Customer service reps on chat are completely unhelpful. They are very apologetic have not been able to rectify the problem. If you can’t invest money, what’s the point of having an account? Waste of time and energy.Show lessDeveloper Response

The app is easy to use but I think it could improve by having documents such as tax forms and quarterly statements available through the app rather then having to use the web portal to receive them.Horrible experience, better go with another option
My experience with WealthBar started out great. I contacted them and asked about my eligibility before opening an account. I received a reply saying yes, I could open an account as long as I had a minimum of $25,000. A couple months later, I get contacted by WealthBar saying I’m not eligible for an account and I’ll have to close down my account. This is understandable as I am no longer a Canadian resident. I see my portfolio liquidated with some profits available on my account page for a day. When I receive my funds back, I get my initial investment minus the fees. NONE of my profits were returned to me. I contact the team for an answer and the team stated they had ‘reversed’ my positions despite seeing the trades. When I check again, the trades were removed from my account. Hence, I would caution all potential customers before proceeding with WealthBar.Show lessDeveloper Response

Unfortunately we are unable to offer our services to non-residents who are also non-Canadian citizens and this was not caught before your cash was invested. To ensure you received all of the money you deposited, and to adhere to our compliance guideline, we needed to reverse the trades in your account — even if it resulted in any gains/losses. With respect to the fees, we agree you should not have been charged. Fees are administered through our system automatically which, in this case, was not ideal. The functionality is alright, but it’s the ugliest app I have. It has exactly two colors and one of them is off-green. The graph on the opening screen isn’t very helpful either. But as a whole, it works.Developer Response
