Excellent for brain exercise!
I play against the iPad and now play at the master level. I find that I really enjoy it now. After initially getting beat regularly by the “opponent “, I now win about 1/2 of the games. It is a sense of accomplishment to win, especially in the games where the opponent has a big lead of 100 points or more. I added a few extra letters to find a level that I found to work good for me. Also, being able to add words to the dictionary that are commonly used, but not in the dictionary, is really helpful. It can also be played offline, away from an internet connection, with only the definitions of the words not being available to read. All in all, I am borderline addicted to this game because I like it so much! I thank the developers of WordMaster for creating this game!Show lessBrier Bob
Latest update has wrecked the game
My husband and I both have this app and have played Word Master for several years. We both play the “hard” level but now, with your recent update, the game has changed for the worse. This is because the tile “draws” all favour the droid. The human player continually receives terrible tiles. Lots low scoring tiles, many triple triple vowel draws and very few high score tiles. Hi, Thank you for your long-time support and for sharing your feedback. I’d like to reassure you that the tile drawing algorithm is identical to before. However, I do want to remind you and anyone reading this that there’s an option in the settings to choose between 3 different tile drawing modes. These range from completely random (just like drawing from a physical bag in a real game) to a balanced drawing mode, which ensures a more even distribution of vowels/consonants and low/high scoring letters. The goal is to provide an option for all kinds of players. Many players find the balanced mode a great way to keep the game flowing smoothly—it's really a breeze to play! The new update is not an improvement. Everything has become less legible, it‘s easier to make mistakes, and it will no longer tell you how many points you’ve won or lost.
The new landscape mode is also completely useless because everything is too small. I don’t understand how a screw-up like this could have happened it looks like they don’t use their own app. They could have just rotated the tiles (while keeping the tiles in place, without rotating the board) and landscape mode would have been perfect. Honestly, even reading the tiles sideways is better than the new landscape mode.
I’ve used this app for years but now I’ll have to find a new app and uninstall the one.Show lessan aardvark in T.O.

Hi, We're sorry to hear that the recent update upset you, but I appreciate your insights, as they help us improve. Regarding the points won or lost at the end of the match, you can still view this information by clicking on the "More Stats" button. This section also includes new, previously unavailable stats that didn’t fit on the initial result screen. As for the landscape mode, it’s completely optional, and you can continue using portrait mode if that’s your preference. Many users are enjoying the new landscape option, and I’m working hard to refine it based on feedback like yours. There’s also a setting available where you can lock the screen to portrait mode so it won’t auto-rotate.
