Latest Update
App has always been intuitive and user friendly. Latest update took a little step back. When viewing a game, I like to look at the past schedule of the teams of the game in viewing for multiple reasons. Previously, I could click on a team, even if I wasn’t following them, and view their season schedule. Now, I cannot find a way to do this w/o searching a team from the main search bar of the app. Took away the ease and fluidity of viewing multiple games and multiple teams.
Ex. I follow Team A. I click on their next game against Team B. I want to see who Team B played so far this season and how they faired. Used to be able to click on Team B’s logo and view their schedule. Now, have to go to main search on app. Find Team B. Look at their schedule.

I like this app a lot, but the commercials are out of control.
I use this app a lot to check my high schools stats and when thier games are so I can go watch them, homewever sometimes I like to watch the highlights of games or of player film. But the problem with this is how there are so many ads it is impossible to watch it without getting annoyed. I know that you need to be able to have ads on your app for revenue since the app is free, but please tone down on the commercials. I was trying to look at an upcoming match, and I could barely see any of the information because I was getting ads about ATT and other phone commercials. It is just very frustrating to use the app when this happens every time you use the app you end up just seeing ads for things that have no importance on a high school sports app. Sorry for the speed, and other than that, this app is great and keep up the good work MaxPreps.

Suggestions
I just now made an account & I’m disappointed that there’s a 16 team minimum. I personally like to follow the surrounding counties for football season & I need more than 16. Also, you’re missing a couple of Texas teams. Not sure how to suggest them, but they’re missing. Would be nice if you could make a way to follow the whole school if you’re interested as well as just select sports like you already have. I would love to follow my hometown school for everything & surrounding schools for football only but it’s not an option. If you’d find a way to change these things, I think it would be ***** from after I see tonight if the push notifications work for the playoff games.

Fantastic App when it lets me report scores
I absolutely love this app. It gives me standings, scores, playoff brackets, and everything I need for high school football and basketball. However, only recently, as in the past 2 weeks, the app has not been entering the scores I report. I have entered over 250 scores over the past few years and am a verified scorer. Have had to enter them numerous times and even then sometimes they still don’t show up and I don’t get a confirmation email. Would love to know why this might be happening? If this gets fixed, the app would be perfect.

Good, but…
App is just Ok! Too much extraneous “stuff” on the screens, could provide more sport pertinent details. Site says it updates stats and records two times a week… three or four times would be much more informative. You get an email notice that your team rankings have changed, but when you actually click on their link it still reflects W/L and stats from three days prior (???) even though you have adde match and stat details.

Awesome, until iOS16
Use the app all the time to update stats and scores, as I am a coach. Love the design, the interface, everything. Ever since tbd iOS16 update, however, the app will not open. Every time I click it, the loading screen comes up, then it crashes. Has been like this for a few weeks now. Hoping some stability issues get figured out, because I love being able to update things on the fly!

Continue scoring and check in not working
3rd week the app not working correctly
If I leave the app I am prompted with continue scoring, the button highlights but nothing happens. I have to check out of game and back in to score again. I upgraded to iOS 16 this week, didn’t fix problem. Been scoring for years and haven’t had this much trouble in a long time. Please fix or give a work around

Good app, but website is still better
I don’t understand? The website has much more stuff than the app? Wha? The website has things like all time seasons, all time rosters, more news than 5 articles and a video with an ad longer than the actual video. If those are there, please prove me wrong devs. And god, please give us the ability to make the screen black or at least grey instead of white. Other than those things, this is a great app. I appreciate all your hard work, I just wish it was a bit better on this app. Thank you for reading. Go Warwick Raiders.

More commercials than a Super Bowl halftime show
It’s a good app if you just want to track your school, look up stats, schedules, rosters, etc. But if you want watch game film, just know that you’ll have a better time sticking your boys into a meat grinder.
First off, most of the player’s film is broken down into small segments (some of which are only 15 seconds long). Which would normally not be a big deal, except for the fact that you’re forced to watch a 45 second commercial before the start of EACH clip.
I’m not a math man, but according to those calcs, you have watch 3 minutes of ATT commercials for every 1 minute of game film. I understand this is a free service and you need to advertise for revenue, but that ad to film ratio is out of control.

Great app, but could be MUCH better, nothing else available
Maxpreps is a good app for high school sports information, or at least it is for basketball and football, but it’s depth of stats and reporting on games is very limited. I realize that they are probably at the mercy of unpaid score reporters, but why not hold these reporters to a higher standard and require them to give you the scores in each quarter or just don’t report for Maxpreps anymore. It’s frustrating to see all of these categories that have zero information when I click on the link.
I do appreciate all of the final scores that get listed and the historical information available, like season game scores, but there’s loads of room for improvement.
