  • Not So Much

I downloaded the app last year and it didn't work so it was deleted almost immediately. I gave it some time and I saw that last update listed as "fixed bugs" so I downloaded it again. Nothing has changed. It won't even let me select a caliber. I'll just use the Winchester app.
  • Useless

When trying to find a range a box shows up with the range info. But not the whole box! No way close that Box either!
  • Basic calculator

It’s a basic calculator but from what I have experienced using it seems to be pretty accurate and useful.. if you’re trying to hit a quarter at 300+ yards it’ll at the very least get you in the ballpark. For plinking steel or water jugs at multiple different ranges it works good pretty well.
  • Shame on you guns and ammo

Saw this app referenced in an article by Guns & Ammo. Powerful tool for shooters. Really?
They do have the 6.5 Creedmoor now.
It may work for those that do not want to spend money on a real ballistics calculator and who aren’t going to shoot in any kind of weather or shoot past 300 Meters. Like one person mentioned it’s a sales tool and not much more.

  • Good app

Good app. Have been using it a lot since I installed it. The only problem I have found with it is when I enter the zero range (100yds) when i calculate it, it shows as 1.5 in.
  • Great basic ballistics tool.

Love the app for its basic simplicity to help with SIMPLE ballistics characteristics. A feature for barrel length (pistol, carbine, or rifle) would be helpful for more accurate muzzle velocities. I also wish it would allow zero or negative sight heights to allow calculations for bore level or under bore mounted lasers. One problem I have discovered is that the delete a saved calculation feature no longer works. I seem to remember it working prior to the last update. Still love the app though.

  • Update Immediately!

How can you have an app that does not have all of the ammunition that your company makes. I want to use this app, but I am unable to because I primarily shoot ELD-X. Horrible
  • Ballistic calc

Great little app. I spend lots of time comparing the trajectories of different calibers and rounds. It’s fun to pull out around ignorant people that don’t think a 270 is a good elk gun.
  • Very Basic, limited value to shooter

This is essentially a very basic drop calculator with some built in loads for salesmanship and extremely limited usefulness to a shooter.

There are several glaring usability issues.

The ballistics calculator does not save the last entered data but instead auto resets the form just because you back out to the main menu. There is no reason for this, there is a reset button if you wanted to reset! The load would have to be saved but you might have just been dabbling with variations and not want to save but also not want to re-enter everything again!

The ballistics table display doesn’t format right to fit on the screen (iPhone 7) and you have to move it sideways to see it all... that is ridiculous to say the least and super sloppy. Yeah I had inches and MOA displayed, but if you can’t display them both don’t offer to!

There is nothing here about stability, corialis, sighting angle (of course all ranges are flat... ok experts, sure). No indicators for supersonic and transonic barriers, poor atmospherics (no humidity), only wind speed not direction so you have to do the reduction for angle yourself.

There is no way to ‘reload’ and modify a saved load, you just have to re-enter everything.

This isn’t even ready for beta release as a ballistics calculator. It’s hardly more than a crayon and a napkin.

I suppose it’s primary value is having a BC number published by Federal to take and put into a real calculator.

  • Update stopped App from working

App updated today. As soon as I tried to initiate app on my IPhone a start icon started spinning. It spun for 3 minutes. I shut down and restarted multiple times but app will not start at all. Federal should have left app as it was; now I’ve had to remove app and use another ballistic calculator.
