MyWellnessBuddy

MyWellnessBuddy (MWB) is a free by-invitation-only application that acts as a secure communications bridge between a user's Bluetooth-Low-Energy (BLE) enabled health device (s) and the user's cloud-based personal health record, MWB Portal, accessible by users and their healthcare providers at www.mywellnessbuddy.com. The currently supported devices are FDA-approved and issued to users by their healthcare providers for the purpose of remotely monitoring their physiologic parameters. MyWellnessBuddy currently supports a variety of personal health devices measuring physiologic parameters; such as Blood Glucose, Blood Pressure, SpO2, Weight, BMI, and Temperature. Support for personal Spirometry devices will be available in the near future. In it's simplest operational mode, MyWellnessBuddy connects to the BLE-enabled personal health device powered on by the user, confirms the device has been registered with the user's MWB Portal account, and then extracts and delivers device measurements to the user's MWB Portal using the mobile device's internet connection. This mode does not require a username or password as the information uploaded by the app is anonymous until it is validated in the portal using the personal health device's unique serial number. The user's healthcare providers can view, download, and analyze the parameters using the fully-featured browser version of MWB. The current release of MyWellnessBuddy, Version v1.2.23 only supports the simple operational mode. Future releases will introduce the full-featured operational mode that requires access credentials issued by the user's healthcare provider. In this mode, users will have access to their personal health records and a rich set of self-management tools.
