New favourite time killer

Great deck building game. Well worth the asking price. Hopefully there will be some expansions :-)

Failed implementation

First of, lets give the game its due: its fun to play and the artwork is superb.

The game is ment to be played online with other players to tag team the game in coop. The big problem is that theres NO GAMES ONLINE! So you're pretty much cut out of most of the fun of the game. It would of been simple for the developper to add a capitain chair mode where a single player can play multiple roles like pandemic for example but I guess they thought more money could be made if all people had a copy...

Presently, theres too many things wrong with it's present form to be worth the price that's asked. Important bugs that need to be ironed out that have a direct impact on the game play. For example:
-impossible to pick trrops from the discard deck which renders some cards dead weight.
-crashes intermitently.
-can't resume a game. So if you had to close your ipad for some reason all progress is lost.

The games already hard enough toco additionnal handicap of bad playtesting.

Just need some bugs fixed

This is actually a really fun game. I just wish they fix a bug allowing you to choose a card from the discard pile.

Good but...

This is a good game lets start off with that.
I agree with balance issues. One hand you don't want a game that is always beatable, and on the other it would be nice to win once! I have played over a few dozen times but have yet to last past the 7the round more than once....
To be fair it may be better with more than one player. Pass and play would be ideal since I prefer not to roll the dice with whom I would get with the online game option mode. My score was going to be a 3 out of 5 stars but realized that even with the game being a little rough around the edges it does not take away from the game play once you understand it. So 4 it is.
One important note is I tried to purchase the .99 expansion but apparently it failed as it never seemed to take..?

Great fun overcoming the challenge!

I am unsure why players are complaining over difficulty (solo play) since I can't imagine the game having longevity if you could beat it a good percentage of the time.

For solo play, you must be sure to utilize the different skills of your division as the rounds increase since the number of division abilities climbs as the difficulty does. However they kick off a single card which is sometimes hard to remember to use.

My recommendation is to use the science lab. The second ability allows you to do two damage every time you play a science card which is ridiculous.

If any other readers are wanting a leg up, purchase the grafting lab add on. Your first round survival rate is greatly increased with cards like the arm blade which does one auto damage at the beginning of every fight. I beat hard with no damage to my base with Grafting on the first try after a few normal Grafting games.

I have defeated hard with Science Lab as well. Although my base only had 4 of 15 hp left.

Highly recommended.

Good game, own physical and digital.

Ignore my last review I was ignorant. Realized the bug I was having was me not noticing the line around the activated expansions. So new review. Games a little easy. The board game seems to have more strict rules on some areas meaning I haven't lost a solo game on normal yet (played 3) going to bump it up to hard next play. Would still like to see free play (99 lives) and hardcore (1 life) added. Keep up the good work guys.

Oh hum

Awkward control (sigh, 2 finger scrolling), awkward UI, (card tops overlay lanes, enlarge a card and lower right blocked by some solid line that appears-why!?-above the Done button) awkward solo play (I don't like to play online). People complain it's unbalanced and I agree, solo play is too difficult but overall the way the game is set up and displayed, it just doesn't pop. It just doesn't look and play like a top notch game. Seems like it's near completion but not quite there yet.

Really cool

Fantastic as far as deck builders go. The artwork is really cool and the mechanics are solid. There's a bit of a learning curve but the tutorial is short and sweet. My only suggestion would be to make it so when you are in single player to have up to 4 lines with different bases. Essentially multiplayer but you just switch between 4 bases and play it yourself. It would greatly expand the experience. Other than that it's a lot of fun, and very challenging.

Great start!

Great iOS version of the physical game I'd just bought. For an early version of the app, it's very polished and looks great overall. Definitely works better on larger screens as my iphone 5 feels somewhat cramped when playing a game. Definitely play the tutorial as some of the controls take a bit of getting used to (2 finger scrolling especially). Most of the issues can be mitigated by adding an undo button to allow for fat-fingering the wrong card.

I've gone through ~20 solo games so far and haven't had a hiccup so far with stability. Will be trying the multiplayer in the near future and will try and update then.

Still a little buggy, pun intended

Decent adaptation of the table top game. It's fun if a little harder than I'd prefer. Took me 10 tries to finally win and it locks up resolving my final battle. Had it lock up one other time. And I can't figure out the interface when picking a card out of my discard pile. Hopefully they will clean it up and I can give it the full 5 stars
