New app is amazing!
I love this product so much! I keep one by my bedside and one in my purse. I have been so grateful to have it by my side on numerous occasions. The new app works perfectly and gives me so much piece of mind knowing my family and friends will be contacted if I’m ever in danger. Thumbs up!!!
Genius idea and incredible product!!

Still using this amazing app and product. Some people complained about it crashing, the new version works perfectly! I was on a bike ride with my two young girls, under 5, when I was about to pass out. (I have a heart condition that makes it stop beating some times.) I pressed the alert button on my D.A.D. and my parents were immediately able to call me and come to my aid, making sure me and my girls were okay. The D.A.D. is one of the greatest ways to protect yourself ever created. With this app and the Bluetooth technology it literally cannot be beat. I have NEVER felt more safe! Great idea, buggy app
I really like this idea but the app is in serious need of a quality developer. Very buggy. Navigation has dead-ends, no way to go back, poor input validation, and more. Be sure to look at the reviews for All Version for this app to better understand the issues people are having. - Jul 19, 2017
D.A.D. responded on Oct 13, 2017 (almost 3 months later), asking me to provide examples. This delayed response speaks volumes. I can only say I deleted this app months ago and I’m not your quality assurance testing team. Furthermore, I did provide examples/areas in the app in my original review, information that should give a development team (or single developer) areas to investigate and test. As I said originally - great idea, buggy app. I wish you the best of success. My biggest concern is an app of this nature and importance must be reliable when it is needed and used, and after using the app during my review of it indicated it’s as not ready for prime-time - to save someone’s life. All the best.

Started sending emergency alerts!!!!!
I'm not sure what happened it was sending alerts for no reason I haven't even opened the app all week.
App does not work correctly
I had to delete the app. I love the idea, but after I downloaded the app I added 2 contacts and it was constantly sending "in danger" text messages when I thought it was disabled. The actual security device itself is A+ on its own.

The app was completely rebuilt in mid 2018, so this review does not apply to the current version of the app. False alerts of the new app, if properly set up, have been eliminated.
Can't imagine not having this now that I do!
This app along with the entire defense alert device has been so impressive! Been very impressed with the companies due diligence to strive to provide the best!
Possibly the most important app in College life
Without question this is one of the best ideas and a non lethal way to protect yourself and for a parent of a daughter in college to feel a bit more comfortable knowing they have D.A.D. by their side.
Easy to hold fits in palm of your hand and the strobing light and professional grade mace are great deterrents right at your fingertips. What really makes this item is the Bluetooth gps ability to create a "crowd alert" to people you choose via the app as well as people who have D.A.D. app that are within your 1-2 mile radius thus creating heroes to help you out in a situation or to contact 911.
***EVERY COLLEGE / UNIVERSITY should have their security people download this app and promote the D.A.D. with 1 in 5 young women bring sexually assaulted on college campuses this would be a welcome way to help support our students and keep campus life safe, knowing "heroes" are your community of students really sets the standard that security, safety are inclusive to getting that sought after degree.
Get on board download this app help build a great network of people helping people. The potential for this product is tremendous.
I'm a huge fan because I'm a women who was stalked as a teen and I have a teen going to college this fall.
Let's make D.A.D. the item you can't leave home without.

It will crash! You would be dead!
IT WILL CRASH!!! It is utterly useless! If someone was in need of help they would be dead if they had this app. This will not work. I wanted this to work as to provide assistance if anyone were in need of help around me. That is where this great crowd sourcing makes a difference.

Admittedly, we did have a period of 2 months in which the app was crashing after an Apple upgrade. We have since completely rebuild the app and no longer have such issues and have also incorporated significant improvements. Sorry you had to have that experience. Of course, the spray still worked very effectively with it’s proprietary delivery methods still provided the best non-lethal personal protection.
Keeps crashing
Good idea but won't work on my iPhone. Once I went to import contacts it crashed and wouldn't open again...had to delete it!
App crashes
I am hoping I got 2 contacts in before it crashed. I'm not counting on it to contact my family in an emergency!
