It’s pretty.
It’s pretty but without a visualization of - in the very least - dyads it’s somewhat pointless as a tool. Music is not a note ringing in isolation, and that’s what this offers: the visualization of individual notes. If the price was much lower it would be fair, but as it stands I feel kinda had. It’s a neat art project so I’ll begrudgingly give this three stars. But I would not have bought it had I known it was not polyphonic.

A bargain under £10
It is not a CymaScope, but an interactive insight into cymatic patterns. Watch the YouTube demo. The patterns are stored in the app, NOT generated by it, even so plenty of factors to play with. Screen estate could be better used. IF you realise what you are seeing, you will be even more impressed with this App

Basic
Couldn’t agree with previous review more. It’s just pre-recorded shapes assigned to notes. I assumed I’d be able to play/sing into the app and get visuals in real time... definitely not worth £9.99.
Bad developer
The app has not been updated and sounds crackle when you play the notes on the piano. The image of the cymascope is so low resolution you see graphics artifacts. Only if they bother to update the app for newer devices.
Awesome.
There are times when I just can't believe what people are developing for our phones, and this is one of them. The concept of Cymatics has been around for a while, but to be able to visualize sounds on your mobile device, it redefines our potential to unlock another dimension of our world. Imagine being able view a bird's song or the sound of ocean waves... the possibilities are endless.

Science Rules!
This app is the coolest thing I currently have on my phone! I was captivated by cymatics, and having digital playback of an actual scientific instrument has been truly enriching to my life. I use it to show friends who have never heard of cymatics, but also to play my instrument to the microphone feature on the app and be able to see those sounds affect on water is truly incredible. Thank you!

poor design, not-as-advertised, gimmick
as i suspected. a poorly designed app that just plays a video file (usually the wrong one) when it detects a pitch. For example, i whistle a B6 and it will play a video of pre-recorded cymatic graphics of a B4. A complete waste of 10 bucks. i also wonder why the piano roll takes up so much screen space when its the cymatic visual that is most important. could be a cool app with proper design and no gimmicks.

Thank you!
I have been interested in Cymatics for some time and ran across this app in the AppStore today. I am thrilled to be able to create these beautiful images with sound, amazing! Thank you so much for creating this, brilliant!
Not impressed
Well I brought it, and I should have read the other review before I spent £8!. There are no instructions for a start. And pretty much I agree with what the other reviewer says.
Can I Get My Money Back?
The live music mic is a SCAM!!!
I was really excited to use this app for live performances but was greatly disappointed to see that it is a hoax of pre-recorded images to notes similar to that which is being played. The transitions between notes don't make sense and are not consistent. Not sure why they would even put in the time to create this app...unless of course it was for my $10 😟
Again...
