Great but needs updates

This is a great app and I really like the step method for meditating but it’s Unfortunate that I cannot download any of the videos . I have tried to contact the developer but they have not responded .

Most effective meditation app I’ve tried

I’ve tried many of the meditation apps over the past five years, including both free and paid ones. This app was recommended to me by two separate mental health professionals and I’m glad I finally gave it a try. Everyone is different, but I struggled with meditation for a long time due to being a generally hyper focused and goal oriented person. This app does a really good job of clarifying the details and basics of how to meditate and made it a lot easier for me to commit to it. Also, I like how it is structured and does not have endless content that becomes overwhelming and distracting. Would absolutely recommend it to someone looking for a straightforward way to get into meditation.

I’m done. Features dont work properly its frustrating to use

This was the first app that effectively taught me how to meditate when the others couldn’t and it came recommended from a friend.

For years, I recommended this app to others because of the excellent content and course.

This all changed from the point when this app went through a major overhaul. Ever since then it’s been nothing but painful to use. I sent an email hoping these would get fixed in a timely manner as I am very happy with the content. I got no response and It took them a long time to get them fixed but there are still issues.

When I was in an area with no internet - I couldn’t use the app because I had to download the timer again.

When I started having friends I recommended this app to complain the features aren’t working and they have to download the course or timer every time, even though they already had, I realised - This is an app I can no longer recommend.

Meditation was a steep learning curve, difficult to understand and practice. so when I found this course it helped me through that challenging learning curve.

I believe in the benefits of meditation and how life changing this can be but the app really makes it frustrating for people to adopt meditation when the App features aren’t working properly.

It’s morning and after the 100th time of downloading the timer I finally cracked and am writing this. I’m looking for another app.

No email code

Can’t log in; no email code sent; tried 6 times - got nowhere - a blemish on the hype if this app. EW.

Great for the main thing but has a couple issues.

First of all, if you're interested in learning to meditate or refine your technique, I strongly recommend this app, and it's completely free and has no ads other than the occasional screen asking you if you want to go through their teacher program or listen to their podcast.

I love the 12 step course. It's simple and luxurious and effective.

Besides that, I have three minor issues:

1. The subsequent 30 day challenge, though, and the timer function (which is the same recording), has one problem that is really annoying and should be a simple fix: The music at the end cuts off sharp. I feel like I'm thrust into a suspenseful movie right at the end of a meditation. The 12 step course has a beautiful fade out, I don't know why these don't. So, I just repeat the course steps and don't use the other modes.

2. I've also seen the meditation hot streak reset or not register a session for no reason.

3. Lastly, I really like the sliding bar you rate your mood with before and after each session, but there's no way to access that data later. Where does it go? Seems like a waste not to be able to see a line graph or something of all those mood ratings.

I still recommend the app! I can tell they're coming from such a good place, and I learned how to meditate more effectively for free because of their generosity.

Update

Great app but will not allow the update to complete. Goes in circles. Fix please.

Non functional

I got to the How Do You Feel question and the program would advance no further. Deleted the app then reloaded with the same result. Looking elsewhere for a similar app.

Same as other reviews

The meditations are great and the right program for me. But exactly as others mentioned: the music is glitchy and distracting, sometimes the voice cuts off and repeats, the wake bell disappeared after day two, so the voice is startling. Most annoying to me is the learning videos after the session have no sound. They have recorded and loaded dozens of videos that are useless because unless you read lips, you can’t hear what he is saying. I agree with others, it seems like fairly simple fixes, I’m not sure why there is no motivation to fix. I did email app support as well.

Used to work great, some bugs now.

Started up meditating again and restarted the 12 steps, when I completed the second day there were a few hiccups during the session where it paused for a second and then paused and actually tracked back so the speaker repeated himself. Then when I got to the end, it paused and stopped and went back to the beginning and never recorded that I actually completed the session. So it says I still need to complete step 2.

So I went ahead the last two days and just went for meditation timer since I had already been through the 12 steps and 30 day challenge a while back. It doesn’t show on the app, nor on my iPhone health or fitness that I’ve completed any sessions these last couple days. And I’ve double checked that I’m synced.

Just some minor bugs, the meditation is for me whether it shows up as “recorded proof” or not. But something to look at maybe.

Great meditation - Audio badly edited

I’m on step 11 of their free, 12 step meditation. I am loving them. Let’s start with that. However, whoever edited the audio did it in such a lazy job it is very distracting. For example, in step 11 the narrator repeats themselves like a record being skipped. In most, if not all of them, the audio is bluntly looped and it takes you out of the meditation temporarily. I’m a video and audio editor. I know how easy of a fix this is. So either they edited this together, and then didn’t play it back to listen to any errors, or someone thought this was good even though it’s clearly bad. In most of the steps, the narrator will repeat themselves, and it’s clearly an error, not intentional. So I hope they actually playback their own audio, listen to it, and fix it.
