  • Love this app BUT..

I love this app, it has everything you need down to creating your own beats and samples incase you need inspiration or a quick beat to write on. One thing I don’t love about this app is that Soundtrap recordings doesn’t have noise cancellation. I don’t have or get a lot of quiet time to myself but when I do, I can still hear the background in my vocals and there’s no way around to fix it. Other than that, I love this app it’s good for when I can’t make it to the studio or if I don’t want to leave my house and want to record something real quick and definitely good for the people who want to make their own beats that are beginners.

  • Not as good as it used to be, where are the developers?

I used to love this app, I’ve made upward of 50 complete, professional sounding tracks with this app. I’m coming back to it after a hiatus of a few months, only to see some smaller features missing. I can still make tracks no problem but I feel as tho by now, this app could have been much better. It was the only app I used on my iPad to make music, since the best DAW software are all for desktops and laptops, and it’s very disappointing to see that Soundtrap has done little to take the quality and features to the next level

To the developers, please hear me, you have gold i. Your hands if you just had the ambition to make Soundtrap comparable to one of the legitimate DAWs, we would greatly appreciate it

  • Amazing but subscription error??

I have the premium subscription but it still won’t give me access to all the loops or samples.. every time I click on one I want it says upgrade your subscription?? I’m assuming because they give you a one month free trial? But if that’s the case it’s supposed to be a trial of the subscription you purchased correct? Then if that’s the case I want everything I supposed to have in the package I purchased for my “trial” not tell me I need to upgrade my subscription because of the mandatory one month trial. The rating of one star is for this “error” I rate the overall functionality and beginner portion of it 5/5 stars.

  • Great app with bugs

I’ve recently got this app and the whole app is great, so many beats, so much to do.

The issue is, is there’s a few bugs.

The main one right now, is I’ve upgraded to “Supreme” and when I go to use a beat I like, it says I need to upgrade and view the pricing options, even though I’m on the highest paid subscription there is. This is very frustrating.

The other is that it is often slow and clunky, and sometimes crashes, giving you a white screen. Your song will save, so you’re not losing everything, but it’s just a little annoying.

Overall, a great app but the subscription bug needs fixing asap.

  • Love the PC Version

I’ve made plenty of music using this system on my PC. The functionality on a mobile device is not great. Things sound good and you have all your options available (including premium like myself, you can use your account on both versions of course!) However when adding new instruments (seem to be a problem when you add more than 3 loops/tracks to a song) you can’t move that loop around. I had to close the app and go back in to gain the ability just to move the loops around. The pinpoint accuracy of touch screen with how small columns are, are way too sensitive. I’d try to move a loop to start at the 12 second mark instead of 9 and it would drag down to the other columns erasing progress on any other instruments and loops being used. Maybe I just need a giant tablet of a phone but on a smaller mobile device, this was infuriating to use.

  • Theres a bug all of a sudden…

Soundtrap is a pretty good music making thing, i use it for the cartoons i make. A lot of things involved in making the music involves screen recording, turning that video into an mp3, then importing it into soundtrap, but suddenly the ability to import mp3 files to soundtrap just dosent work anymore. I dont hate soundtrap, its pretty great, but this new bug just cant really allow me to make music anymore, so that has to get fix as soon as possible

  • Good system, bad app

For a couple years now I’ve been using Soundtrap and it’s both easy and convenient for making music, with tons of amazing loops to kickstart a project and good instruments. I have made lots of music over time, and I was hoping to be able to listen to the music I’ve made on my phone, and the app is absolutely horrible. There’s no way to sort/search through your songs, and when you have hundreds of projects, lots of which are unfinished, it gets incredibly annoying when you want to find a certain song or project.
And when you want to use it for what they’re constantly shoving in your face, making music, everything is small, cramped and impossible to edit. You really just can’t do anything on this app.

All in all, I’d recommend the website, but absolutely not the app. It’s horrible and absolutely needs a change.
