We fixed a progression bug when Arika is hunting for a car. She would just search, and search in vain, so we found her some wheels. We also took care of an issue with our Japanese font displaying incorrectly on the Apple Watch. Sorry, our font barber trimmed a little too much off the top!

Description of Lifeline 2

The original Lifeline took the App Store by storm, reaching #1 Top Paid Game on iPhone and Apple Watch in 29 countries. Its compelling mix of real-time storytelling and Dave Justus’s suspenseful writing continues to capture the imaginations of countless players worldwide. Lifeline 2 raises the bar with a new story almost twice as long as the original, with many more choices and paths to explore. Lifeline 2 features a 28-minute original soundtrack and is fully optimized for watchOS 2, delivering the best Lifeline experience on Apple Watch yet. The second story in the Lifeline series connects you with Arika, a young woman on a deadly quest to avenge her parents and rescue her long-lost brother. Your choices will keep her alive and help her succeed as she faces mortal danger on her way to a final, fateful showdown against the forces that threaten all of humanity. Lifeline stories play out in real time. As Arika travels to complete her quest, notifications deliver new messages throughout your day. Keep up as they come in, or catch up later when you’re free. You can even respond to Arika directly from your Apple Watch or your iPhone lock screen, without launching into the app on your phone. After completing any story branch, you can rewind to earlier parts of the story, or speed through parts you’ve already read. See what happens when you make a different choice: will you guide Arika virtuously, or cut corners to gain an edge? Seemingly simple actions can deeply affect the outcome. Arika’s story, and the fate of the world, depend on your judgment. You will face the consequences together, because Arika is relying on YOU. Lifeline 2 features no in-app purchases and no ads. An Internet connection is not required. I don’t think any other game I’ve played has made me feel that way before.” - Matt Thrower, PocketGamer Lifeline 2 was created by: Dave Justus Matthew Sturges Colin Liotta Dan Selleck Mars Jokela Benjamin Ellebracht Original music composed by Norman Fairbanks. • Best Text Driven Game on the App Store!

I have played this game a couple of times and this past time was the first time I actually succeeded and reached the end. It was a wild ride and an incredible story that just pulls you in like nothing else. I found myself actually worried about Arika as if I was actually magically connected with another person, and the game left me constantly thinking about it. It felt real and it felt powerful, with a great story to match and good choices for how to react, if you enjoy choice driven games, this is the game for you.
  • Great as expected, but....

The game is great, as expected after playing Lifeline 1. My knock of one star is for the readability of the text. This is much harder to read than 1. There is no setting for font size, and sadly they did not write the game to Apple’s font sizer API. This is the only game of this kind that I have to grab my glasses for. Very annoying and disappointing for Big Fish to ignore those of us without 20/20 vision.😎

Another issue for me: If someone grows up in an isolated town, then an orphanage, then a decade on the run focused on just one thing, how the heck do they pick up all the societal slang, and music and film references that they constantly use. That’s a rather big logical leap. Almost another star just for that time flaw. 🧐

I also wanted to knock off another star for your treatment of my cities. I was born and raised in Portland, and now live one block away from Happy Valley. Given that Happy Valley has the highest income per capita of any city in Oregon (amazing what 1 block can do for your income), and is completely full of McMansions (mansion wannabes). Given these McMansions have only about 6 feet separating one from the next, it’s very hard to picture a dilapidated orphanage still standing anywhere in Happy Valley. Fiction I know, but really?? However you did get the Pearl district right, so that evens out. 😁
  • Thank you

My vocabulary is probably under qualified to describe my experience what these games so I’ll state it simply. I love these games every one of them. The story was captivating between the realistic characters conversations references it is almost impossible not to feel sad when you have to wait for actions like sleeping or traveling to be performed. I was so glad when I found out about this series and it is well worth the money. I can’t wait for the storylines to continue. Thank you for the passion these stories are told with.
