Terrible Update!
I can’t find past purchases without having to do a search, even then it does not find everything I’ve purchased in the past. Then even when you find what you own and download it, it does not show in your downloaded area. So frustrating trying to find what you want to read. It’s not even easy to browse for inspiration to buy a new read as the more titles area doesn’t even show the full content available! I was going to buy a new graphic novel to read today. Gave up as I couldn’t find what I wanted. Then decided to find an old read instead, couldn’t find what I had in mind to read as well! Even when you do a search, for example Dan Dare, the search does not find any of the Dan Dare Graphic novels. Search for Insurrection and it only shows you Insurrection Liberty, book 2, not book 1. I own both but can’t find both. Search for Kingdom, only shows a couple of the graphic novels, search for the Last American, couldn’t find it at all, search for Xtnct! No chance!! I could go on and on here, absolutely rubbish update, why oh why have rebellion done this!

Where’s my stuff?
Great to see an update but all but previous comics are gone and the carousel scales all over other elements. Needs more work and I’m not putting money into this until my previous comics come back.

v5.0.5 made things worse
A browse/library interface that limits how you can filter, removes sorting by time (or any method at all), truncated descriptions, and reading the comics is painfully slow with occasional jumping of pages. Previous versions did not have this issue. I may be pulling the PDFs for a better user experience.

2 steps forward, 1 step back
This is regarding the Aug 24 update; here’s improvements, but still a long way to go. Only half of my library shows up when browsing, have to physically search for the rest. You have to log in EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU OPEN THE APP. And as a result of the constant logging in it doesn’t save where you have been reading.
It’s an improvement over the last, I can read more than twenty pages without he reader crashing, but there’s still way too many user bugs to recommend this

Great content but buggy app
I love the content by this publisher but have to sign out/in, hard close and/or ‘restore purchases’ at least once a week. Frequently get a ‘failed to download content’ message.
Afa features, it would be nice if it marked what you’ve read. It offers a way to sort by read but it doesn’t work.
2000ad and JD are great titles and this is a cost effective way to read them outside the UK, but the app could use some work

Agonisingly slow
What do you think would be faster? Getting on a bus to the nearest Forbidden Planet to buy an issue, or clicking on ‘purchase’ and ‘download’ on this app? Definitely the former!
I click purchase and the sale goes through - then it gets stuck on ‘purchase’ for hours, including several force-quits and restarts and sign-out-and-ins. Then eventually it registers my purchase and allows me to click ‘download’ whereupon it says ‘queued’ for several more hours and restarts.
It happens on both my iPad and iPhone, irrespective of whether I’m on my home Wi-Fi or 5G mobile data.

Amazing Childhood Memories Relived.
Was worried at all the 2yr old poor reviews, but app must have had updates as I found no issues with my iPad.
I remember reading Dredd Block/Apocalypse Wars as an 11/12 year old, amazed at all the full colour spreads in each issue, studying each picture intimately - repeating the words over and over in the voices I gave each character.
Almost didn’t download the Apocalypse Wars graphic novel ( took a while to find it, though ) as I didn’t wanna spoil my childhood memories, but OMG so glad I did.
All the covers, all the spreads, full colour, 200+ amazing pages, no messing around, the whole thing, nothing missing, it’s all there, so many memories relived after 40 years.
I’m no expert but kinda wonder at how these images have been scanned so perfectly, seems HD me, zoom in, zoom out all perfect.
Next on my list is Judge Death, Flesh, Rogue Trooper and more.

Not showing your active subscription? Try this
I was locked out of the weekly comic. Logging out and back in again didn’t solve it. But I think I’ve found a fix. I force quit the 2000 AD app, went into Settings and changed my subscription to a different length. (If I was on 3 monthly I changed it to monthly.)
Then I restarted the app and it recognised my weekly subscription
I’ve been reading 2000 AD all my life and I will read it for the rest of my life. This bug, although bad, will not stop me reading

Where are my bookmarks?
This app needs a few improvements:
1. It needs to consistently recognise my subscriptions. Sometimes the ‘account’ page times out, says there are no subscriptions and the ‘store’ page does not show my subscriptions.
2. When browsing, it frequently shows only a grey square where a product graphic should appear.
3. Pricing often does not appear, it gets stuck on the little circle thingy
4. and most frustrating of all, it keeps losing my bookmarks!!!!
I can live with the first three above but #4 is more than an annoyance. It interferes with my reading enjoyment and therefore I give this app, the primary focus of which is to let me read my 2000 AD comics, ONE STAR!
