Doesn’t Work

Was hoping to use this for short simple messages while off grid camping. I made multiple attempts from multiple locations, in the city with cell and LTE disabled, remote areas, etc and never successfully sent a message. This is despite the app indicating I had a strong GPS signal every time. As soon as I enabled or entered a cell or internet hot spot my previous messages would go through. This app is not reliable...

Worked perfectly

I bought this app to enhance my safety while travelling. The iPhone finder app was not working reliably in the woods. I programmed the default sms recipient and it worked perfectly every time !

If the developers which to add a feature, I would pay for the ability to program a “heartbeat “ signal: the ability to ask the app to automatically send a message to my recipient every hour for the next 12 hours, for example.

Would be better with option to select feet rather than meters

Sorry but in the good ole USA we still use standard measurements like feet, yard & mile. Why not have an option to display standard I stead of metric measurements? Until then just 3 stars.

Didn’t work

Only worked when the WiFi or cellular was connected.

Doesn’t work

Doesn’t work, their email is non existent, and they have my money

Response from developer

Hi! Please check if the problem still exists with the current version 2.1.1

Nice app for solo hikers

I often hike/scramble alone. When I first arrive at the trailhead, I send my wife an SMS (preset within the app) with a message that I compose like, “At trailhead, ready to start up.” The app attaches the exact location and altitude. Later, I send my wife another SMS like, “At summit, starting down.” Again, it’s got my exact location attached.

The app has the ability to transmit location by SMS or email or WhatsApp. In areas of poor-to-no cell coverage, SMS works best.

The only additional setting I wish this had is a setting to change the elevation from meters to feet. Sorry, still use feet in U.S.
