Worst app Ever

Have to uninstall/reinstall every time I want to use it as well as re enter data. Stupid stupid stupid!!! read the reviews - there aren’t any good ones for a reason

Doesn’t record history at all?

At first (4 years ago) this app worked great. Since I redownloaded and started using I noticed that this app no longer records workout history. Which is a huge part of this app. At least it seems to work with my treadmill considering it seems that most don’t even get that. HOW ABOUT AN UPDATE AFG???

App unresponsive after workout complete.

Downloaded app after I purchased a Horizon T202 Treadmill. App connects fine to treadmill. I am using an iPad Pro 12.9” and when I open the app it is not full screen instead it is a smaller version to the top left-hand corner. Like another review stated from 2 years ago, after a workout is complete, and the workout summary is displayed, a grayish transparent overlay appears on top of the summary and will not disappear making all buttons on screen unresponsive. The only way to fix it is to close the app completely and opening it up again. According to App Store their last update was 2 years ago. Wish they would update the app soon.

Worst App Ever

This is absolutely the worst app of any kind I have ever used or attempted to use.

46 gigs of data

Why is this dumb app using all of my storage?????

Terrible

Locked on one user. Can’t go to “home”. Won’t allow me to even switch programs. Useless.

Doesn't work

The app doesn't connect to our T202 treadmill. Bluetooth is connected but the app claims it's not. I've tried downloading it several times but nice dice. No help support is offered through the AFG app or website. Very disappointed

Need an update

The app freezes all the time which irritates the all workout since you need to close and reopen all the time. When is the next update? It’s an important complement to my horizon treadmill.

Decent, but could use some more attention

The interface is ok, but as the primary method recommended for interacting with the elliptical I use (5.9AE Sport), I think it could use some fixes and improvements.

Pros:

I love that it can connect with MyFitnessPal and MapMy apps by Underarmor. This is a useful feature, and includes distance and pace, which wouldn’t be recorded by logging a similar elliptical workout using only an Apple Watch/iPhone.

The iPad interface navigation intuitive and follows an easy to use workflow.

Real time metrics tracking during the workout, while understandably slightly delayed by the polling process, are nice to watch, and most of the relevant measurements are visible at the bottom of the screen.

Cons:

The biggest issue I have comes at the end of a workout. Once the workout is completed, an overlay appears indicating that the app is saving the data (this may only occur when linked to Underarmor accounts, I’m not sure). When completed, the text disappears, but the overlay remains, leaving most buttons unresponsive to touch feedback, and making it necessary to fully kill (not just suspend) the app before one can perform any additional interaction with about 80% of the buttons.

The legends in the real-time graphs while working out should be easier to read. Their fonts are on the smaller side, and the coloration of the text does not make them clearly visible while working out with good posture.

The historic report is a good idea that falls short, in my opinion. While you can view overall aggregate data for a specific date or range of dates, there is no way to drill in to a per-workout data set from the filtered date range. I also see no way to view anything similar to the graph that appears during a workout, which I think would be useful for tracking progress over time.

I will also repeat another reviewer’s complaint regarding the Fitness Test. If one is instructed to keep within a certain RPM range, it might be a good idea to indicate to them what their current RPM’s are, but there is no display of this data. Only MPH. The easiest (see: cheapest) fix for this would be to update the documentation to instruct users what MPH range they should remain in, but adding an RPM display to the app would help, too. Without one of these two changes, the fitness test is pretty useless.

Additional improvement I would like to see:

I am unfamiliar with the MapMyFitness API, and don’t know if it’s possible from a 3rd party, but more detailed workout analysis data sent to MapMyFitness would be a fantastic addition. I would love to dig in and see splits, heart rate readings over time, etc. These values do exist in MapMyRun, as I’m given the option to “Analyze Data” after a logged run. Having this data in MapMyFitness might eliminate my complaint regarding the historic reports, too.

Overall:

I think the app is pretty functional, with the exception of the overlay bug, and with a little more attention, could really shine.

Locks up & no help

Firstly, the app frequently locks up. Secondly, there's no help with features. I downloaded the app after purchasing an AFG 5.9 AE elliptical. I tried the Fit Test feature. The app says I need to maintain 60-80 rpm's, but there is no rpm indicator in the app or on the elliptical. Very disappointed.
