Radar Widget Issues

iPhone 14 Pro Max w/ latest iOS

The radar widget displays a blank, grey square. Tapping on the image opens the app and loads satellite imagery for Basel, CH. I do not live anywhere near there.

I have reached out to Meteoblue, but have been told it’s not an issue on their part. Location services are fully enabled. I have paid for the yearly subscription. The issue persists after phone restarts, app reinstalls, and device changes.

The widget works on iPad, though, and the meteograms are the best in the industry, so the app isn’t a total loss.

I just want a radar widget that actually works and doesn’t cost a fortune.

Still my go to but bring back the all in one meteogram view

In terms of accuracy, this is still the best app but I agree with the other review that the new three tab interface is a downgrade to the previous design where you could vertically scroll through the three meteograms on the same page. I emailed the developer and basically got the same response about how mobile devices have small screens (as I type this on a 6.9” Pro Max) and how somehow having to tap three different tabs to see the same information you could previously just scroll to see is somehow better. It’s also not true you can see the old view by tapping on a meteogram because it only shows one at a time instead of all three at once. Also, the irony of this argument is in the previous design you could tap on any of the individual meteograms to see them full screen so I don’t see why there was even a need to change things in the first place. The old design is worth 5 starts, this design is worth 3 stars.

Recent update wrecks meteogram

Recent update makes meteogram a multi-step multi-tap back and forth process. It used to be all on one scrollable screen and it fit just fine. But now the developers make it clear they don’t care that users don’t like it - they just tell you you’re wrong and it’s better for small screens. I use it on an iPad and an iPhone - maybe they’re using it on something smaller than an iPhone?

Meteo: LISTEN to your users instead of telling them they don’t understand what they like. The meteogram is what set this app apart - if I’m going to have to click and click and click I’ll just use the native Apple app.

Please fix the meteogram.

no longer accurate after ver 1.14

Lots of bugs and glinch after the update. Map showed full of cloud but actually super clear sky.

Great app, but bring back the all in one view for meteograms

By far the very best whether app I’ve ever used. Unfortunately, with the most recent update, the meteogram page has been split into three tabs (5 day, 14 day, multi model). In my opinion, this is a horrible interface that adds unnecessary complexity, and severely reduces the usefulness of this page. This is a real shame since me blue was my go to weather app.

We understand that the new meteogram view may seem unfamiliar at first, but we also understand the advantages of the old view that you have highlighted. However, we decided to introduce this new view for the following reasons: the app was developed primarily for mobile devices with limited screen size. Therefore, we tried to adapt the view to mobile screens and it is now easier to read information without having to manually zoom. The old view of the entire meteogram is still available. So much better than Meteo Schweiz!

Just adore this app. We have Swiss Family with homes in so many locations.. Zurich, Bern, Saanenmoser, Wadenswil, Savognin… And this app gives us both weather and webcam views to see what’s happening in real time. And all so easily!
