Annoying

Furbo is a great idea but poorly executed. The ability to remotely monitor your pet via video is spectacular. Unfortunately the software developers devoted too much attention to AI and bungled it creating a Nanny feature. The (so called) Nanny not only gets in the way of Furbo’s primary mission (video monitoring) but provides no demonstrable benefit. Worse yet the app devotes the majority of its communications to selling Nanny subscriptions. We find that the Furbo App frequently locks up waiting for subscription input. There is no graceful exit from these popup adds, instead one must kill the App and restart to use Furbo for its intended purpose. Annoying.

My advice is to avoid Furbo in favor of one of the numerous competitors. Most competitors focus on improving the user experience for their core mission. That is providing an elegant means to monitor your pet remotely via video.

Further: If the AI Nanny feature was any good Furbo wouldn’t need to use aggravating pop-ups to sell add-on subscriptions.

Terrible Tracking

I’ve had this for a few months now and my dog has shredded multiple blankets and beds without a single notification from the app the AI says she’s just having fun but this is extremely dangerous and deadly. My dog has extreme separation anxiety and I thought being able to track her motions and be notified when something dangerous happens would be good but it turns out having this has made it even more deadly than just a normal security camera. The noises set her off more and the AI is completely useless. Probably will not be renewing my subscription on my subscription only camera and looking into other camera services that can actually track my pet. Please do not waste your time or money on something so dangerous.

Unbelievably Bad

I received a Furbo Mini for Christmas, my first Furbo product. I downloaded the app, was prompted to create an account, but when I put in my information and hit submit, I received an error message. I went to the Furbo website and created my account there, including receiving a confirmation email and clicking the link and creating my password. Then I returned to the Furbo app to log in, and it still didn’t work. I attempted to reset my password on the website (where I was currently logged in) in case there was a typo. The website now claims that an account with the email address I am currently logged into the website with does not exist. Not only can I not the Furbo camera since I cannot set it up, but this company is incapable of even handling the setup of a new user account.

I loved the furbo when we first got it. It was great to check in on our dogs during the day. But this year when the camera stopped connecting to wi-fi, tech support could not help me fix the issue & the solution was to buy the nanny cam subscription & I could purchase a refurbished furbo at a discounted price. My furbo was beyond the one year warranty, but I really hoped for a better solution than this. No guarantee that the one I purchase won’t stop working after spending a lot of money on a refurbished product & nanny cam subscription. Very disappointed not to have my furbo now, but will look for an alternative.

Helpful in emergencies!

This year, my cat was playing with one of his favorite toys that was just a simple string connected to a stick. Unfortunately, he ended up gnawing off the ribbon from the stick and swallowed about 2 feet of string. I was first alerted to this by my furbo that notified me that my cat was vomiting. I saw him trying to puke up the string and ended up taking him to the emergency vet. He ended up having to have emergency surgery to remove the string. My furbo was so helpful in monitoring him the next few days. I was able to monitor if he was eating, using the bathroom, and drinking enough water. It also allowed me to monitor this throughout the night while I was able to get some sleep. Between catching his first spell of vomiting to helping me monitor his recovery, I have nothing but positive things to say about my furbo!

Would give zero stars if possible

Confirming that the furbo worked perfectly fine the last year and a half that I’ve had it. I was excited as it was a gift from my sister after we got a new puppy. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting tricks, but keep getting the same error that the Furbo has lost connection even though everything is connected properly. I’m even getting the correct light colors when trying to connect. There is something wrong with this app. Ever since they added the new pet nanny feature I have been having issues connecting to my furbo. Piece of garbage.

App works fine, $10 per month

I was a little bit worried after purchasing this and looking at the other reviews. However, the app works just fine, then testing it all day. And I’m able to check in with our newly adopted cat.

The only downside is the subscription which is $10 a month, $120 a year. I may try to see if there is a free alternative, but this works in the meantime.

You should absolutely make the AI chat, minimize-able, not necessary to have it there all the time.

So far so good

It dispenses treats well sometimes it dispenses four at a time but it’s typically two or three treats! I’m using my dogs round kibble on large setting and it works completely fine. My dog loves his furbo. The app notifies me anytime he’s whining or barking or howling in his crate. So far so good we’ve only had it a day but I love it! It’s clear video and the app is easy to use. Only thing so far is sometimes the furbo keeps turning and staying facing a direction my pet isn’t even in frame. My pets on the couch and furbo keeps turning and facing the wall. I do have the option to move the camera either direction in the app, however it when I move it on him it just moves back to looking at the wall

Furbo gaslights customers THE WORST

If I could rate 0 stars, I definitely would. I regret buying furbo and subscribing for a year. I just had furbo for a few months and it’s always having issues with internet connection. Even if you reach out to them, they will tell you to plug unplug and blame your internet connection. The thing is, if I am at work, how could I plug unplug the cord? I couldn’t see my dog whenever I am away because even if you plug/unplug, after a few minutes, it will lose its connection again. They will always have something to blame and will never blame their incompetent products. If you look at their product reviews on reddit, THIS ISSUE is the NUMBER ONE thing furbo users are COMPLAINING about. So it’s just not me. Will definitely not renew my subscription next year. This is a waste of money.
