The Lost Art Of Tuning By Ear

Using tuner pedals for decades severely impaired my ability to tune by ear. But this great little app on my phone has brought it back up to snuff. Plus I now always have tuner in my pocket!

Good for a while

Stopped working, right in the middle of a church service when I needed it. Nice while it lasted.

Finally a tuner for real musicians

This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for! No ugly sustained tone; no superfluous pitch selection or—worse yet—insulting frequency measurement. Just an adjustable A4 with a well-measured decay. Love it!

Simple effective tuning

A simple tuning fork.
A 440.
If you know how to tune your instrument, this should be all you need.

Used this for years but now crashes

Used this app for years with no problems on iPhone 4S but on new 6S with latest OS it crashes on launch. Have re-installed to no avail.

This app saved me today.

I'm a professional piano tuner. Today I forgot my tuning fork. I got out my iphone searched for A440 and downloaded this app. It worked perfectly and allowed me to do the tuning work.

Indeed the best plain and simple tuning fork but->

it causes the music player to stop, sometimes I'm using the work to determine a key of the currently playing song/chord.

Would be great to have it advanced so that it doesn't stop the music.
