Deleted- due to fascism
I deleted this app and everything related to ABC 27 news, ABC, Disney, Hulu and Nexstar for participating in state sanction censorship.
One cannot trust a news source that does not stand for the first amendment and constitutional rights and instead upholds authoritarian fascist rule.

Doesn’t work after recent update
After the most recent update, watch live doesn’t work. Can only read trending topics (no video). Only video that plays is the weather.
Very poorly written articles
It's unbelievable that the articles published on this site are written by journalism professionals. The articles are extremely poorly written. The “sports” department is a complete joke. Don’t waste your time with these clowns.
Large font
The app provides a lot of great news. However, when I open up a story on my iPad or my iPhone the font is very large and often I cannot read the story. The font change icon just makes it worse. In the App Store they give you a link for app support, which just goes to the ABC27 website, which has no link for app support - poor support! No app support! ABC27 has dropped the ball on support.

Full ad for tornado watch
I get a push notification from ABC27 about a tornado watch my area is under. I clicked the notification only to be met with a full page ad that I had to wait to go away to see the important information. No thanks. I’m done with your less than stellar app with the full page ad when ever I open it, especially when it can effect my safety. Uninstalled as Harrisburg has much better news apps.

Since the 500.3.0 app update on 4/9/2024, it is now necessary to scroll the entire way to the top of a story that you are reading to be able to see and use the Back Arrow to get back to read other stories. (The Back Arrow is as the very top left) I find this very annoying and hope it can be changed to always display, no matter where you are in an article. I am running IOS 17.4.1 on an 11 Pro Max. Thank you! Oh, and same issue with the Share With icon.

Terrible
App is absolutely unusable, unreliable, unresponsive, and useless. The news they say is on the app on their newscasts is missing, the other features are a joke and the app is a platform to serve ads, not news.
I recommend those that have it delete it and those looking at it go somewhere else for news from the area.

Since iOS 17.2 released your app is not working. Must shut down my phone and once restarted it takes almost 5 minutes for you app to respond and function properly. Please fix this bug.

The volume keeps cutting off in the middle of the news…
If you back out and go back in to try and fix the issue… it plays more commercials before it lets you get back to the news.
They should just have the whole morning news recorded so you can play straight through then.
I really hate this app… I just want to see the news without having to back in an out to get it to work!

The 30second ads!! (Ughh!!)
Decent app. But the 30 seconds for every news clip is so annoying that I just switched to the cbs news. I understand the app needs to make money. But I thought all the pop ads were good enough. No worries still a decent app. Just not for me!!
So much click bait and ads - horrible
There’s so much wading to do just to read one story. There’s so many really annoying ads and gross click bait, that the bad visual experience isn’t worth the stress of trying to find out local news. Their website is the same. Would rather never go to their digital content than have to see so much click bait and ads. Clean it up! Can hardly tune in live so want to get news online.

I downloaded this app after you guys stopped playing the news on your website.
This app doesn’t work half the time. The sound cuts out when trying to play the news, you can’t cast it to your tv, and you can’t minimize the screen.

Terrible
Inconsistent performance. The app frequently shuts down and won’t start unless you turn-off and restart the ipad. Also, multiple videos will seemingly start playing spontaneously and won’t stop unless the iPad is turned off.
Unusable with 3MB DSL
The ad before each story must be an extremely high res file. It simply takes too long to load. And there is no way to escape without exiting the app.
