Shameless Subscription Pushing
It used to be completely free to read the news on this app. A few months back they introduced a subscription. Fine, whatever. It was only a couple of articles that were locked behind it. Well, now it’s close to half of them. NBC has so many other income sources, I’m not paying a subscription just to read the news on their website. They aren’t a Newspaper. I guess the AP is where I am going next.

Fee based
Used the app as a go to for news updates but now 80% of the articles are subscriber only. Switched to another news provider.
No longer worth it
I have never written a review for any app before but I feel this one is warranted. The subscription fee tied to almost all articles now is ridiculous and any articles free for viewing seem vaguely bias and hardly worth reading. This use to be a solid stop to read the news but has lost most of its integrity. Deleting it now.

Most articles, now require subscription
After being a user of NBC News for years and enduring the countless ads and taking over audio when launching the app, they have now made it where most articles require a subscription. This seemed to have flipped overnight, sadly. Being an ad supported model was fine and manageable, but requiring a subscription just makes this unfeasable.
