Traditions

I’ve read the ARN daily for decades, and I’m happy with the ease of access of the e-newspaper on my iPad.

My biggest concern is the bias of the AP and misleading headlines. I know to take misinformation with a grain of salt but some folks may naively believe far left articles.

I’m also disappointed that Letters to the Editor are no longer included - that was sometimes the best part!

I miss weekly columns by Sharon Randall but enjoy Bill Tinsley’s.

And I share screenshots of a comic daily with a grandson - which is special to me.

I also enjoy the puzzles! 😊

Notifications

When I get notifications and click on them they come up covered by an advertisement. Instructions say to swipe up to get rid of the ad. If I swipe up starting to high it doesn’t work. If I swipe up lower it closes the whole thing. It is driving me nuts. I am going to quit taking notifications because of your poor design. I am a subscriber and real close to unsubscribing!!

New version leaves much to be desired

Not much good to say about the website. The news content is ok but the app itself is difficult to manage and maneuver. What is happening to the Sunday comics? Two Sundays missing. Please! You can do better than this I’m sure.

I cannot get the enewspaper in this new app. I used to enjoy reading my iPad at breakfast and not just the stories selected for me.

I am used to reading the ARN on my iPad but this ew app is awful. I want to go back to the old version.

Can’t read one article without an ad

Long term subscriber and have used the app for years. Since the announcement that the physical paper will not be delivered, the app frequently refuses to open, or-even worse-will break to an ad multiple times while reading one story.

Bring back my print copy.

Please go back to the old app. We can’t even get the paper to read any more. About the time we figure out the new app, you change it. So frustrating!

Freezes on ads too much

I like using but it has a glitch that forces a full system reboot to overcome.

Terrible eEdition

The old eEdition app was much more functional than forcing this new one. There is no pinch to zoom and no portrait scale to fit.

It has improved, but today (Sunday), the comics are cut off at the bottom of the page.

It’s awful.

I loved the previous one. This one is jerky and hard to read. I don’t like it at all.

This is an update to the above review: thanks for the tweaking you have done, it’s a lot better now. I like to read the e newspaper, not all the other stuff and now it’s easier to read. If you could make the margins wider and more natural that would be good, but if not I can live with the changes!

This app is terrible’ Absolutely hate iit! Pay for subscription and still have ads. Old app much better and user friendly. Bring back old app or at least give subscribers a choice.
