Only one accent??

It’s only one accent if you added more accents I would give this 4 stars
Tell me if I can fix it

Wrong example audios

I’m giving this app 2 stars because some of the pronunciation examples are incorrect and misleading for learners.

For example, in Unit 2 “Word Connections,” the written explanation is teaching users to connect words naturally in spoken English. However, the example audio does the opposite — the speaker intentionally separates the words instead of linking them together. This directly contradicts the lesson content and can mislead learners who are trying to improve their word connections skills.
I hope the developers can fix these incorrect demo audios as soon as possible.

Severely visually impaired

I am unable to use this app because I am able to read the sample sentences. If the sentence was read out, I could repeat it.

Need to regulate score

It is a good app, but pls add a feature where I can regulate a score of speech

FAQ

What does the Accent Training app do?

This app helps users master the American English accent by focusing on the 'speech music' of the language, including stress patterns, rhythm, and intonation. It provides tools for listening, recording, and receiving instant feedback to improve pronunciation and clarity.

What are the key features of Accent Training?

Key features include instant, color-coded pronunciation feedback, real-time pitch visualization for matching intonation, an AI tutor for practicing conversations, and structured curriculum sections covering speech music, critical sounds, and natural speech patterns. It also incorporates gamified elements like daily streaks and leagues for motivation.

How much does Accent Training cost?

The app is free to download and start your first lesson. It offers in-app purchases, suggesting that some features or content may require payment to unlock or access fully.

Who is Accent Training for?

The app is designed for professionals preparing for interviews, students entering English-speaking universities, and anyone who desires to communicate more clearly and confidently in various settings, such as meetings, calls, and everyday life.

What is the learning methodology of Accent Training?

Instead of starting with individual sounds, the app begins by teaching the melody of American English, focusing on pitch patterns, stress, rhythm, and word connections. This approach aims to make individual sounds easier to master once the overall speech music is understood.
