Thank you for the honest review. We realized large files were indeed very slow, and we've rebuilt the core data engine in the latest version (v1.5). It now uses a streaming cursor that loads data in constant time regardless of file size, with background import and instant-first-page display. Our tests show a 1.5 GB file now opens in seconds.
