Acellus sucks
It does not give good information and the teachers suck a lot. They do not get very good privilege and information. They are very under knowledge and they do not understand when the kids do not do very well. They just send them right off to a video if they get under 70% and I think that I said them off they should get a chance because I think they do know what they’re doing because they are because Acellus is very bad

Max amount of steps
this new cap on the amount of steps you can do in a week is genuinely irritated, i used to do 40 and now i can only do 17. I was going to be able to be done in october and now it’s january. I’ve seen many people upset at this no one can get work done when that amount is done in 2 days even with notes and test and then you have to wait a week for it to restart 🙄 Other than that the app is fine but this money grab stunt you’re pulling is irritating

Greedy
I truly used to love Acellus, but now with the new updates it is truly just no worth it on my NEW laptop and Ipad it glitches and replays the video and sometimes makes me not be able to answer questions without logging out. And I am going to be going to a new homeschool app from how they added the new week limit I am officially behind in school because they add this limit when I was out of town and skipped some of my work I can’t even catch up in a month. Please fix your glitchy app but I will be moving to a new app.

Dislike New Changes
My son started with Power Homeschool in Grade 5. He is now in Acellus Academy Grade 12. The recent (July 2026) changes have potentially impacted his graduation date as he had plans to push hard and take more courses to get a broad range of required courses for his college applications. It is no longer the self paced learning they advertise. Before, some core courses had a max of 40 steps per week. Those are now 24-26 steps per week. The other courses didn’t have that threshold but now they do which means some are as low as 12 steps per week. So a child who is engaged and interested in learning has to sit around and wait to do more. 12 steps is 6 videos and 6 quizzes. That is not a lot of work per week. All to extend “learning time” and $$$ paid.

you get videos that are easy to understand and WAY less stressful then a normal school would be
you can do this anytime in the day i like to do it before bed or in the morning so i have all day with my mom and everything.
this improved my mental state and my anxiety by a ton as someone who has severe social anxiety
this app is the one
Once ur done with ur classes for the day you can also play some informational games which are kinda nice.! Hope this helped.

The new update sucks
Before the update it was really good and i could actually go back and catch up on lessons i messed on the past day(s) now it wont let me- and for people that cant see or read properly because of sight problems or like me who has dyslexia i cant always read right, thats why Read Out Loud should be there always for you to have- and the AI??? Why use AI when it was fine before it?- it was way better before the update and Acellus should really go back to how they had it in like 2022

They got money hungry.
Originally I started using Acellus back in 2020. It was so convenient and I could finish a class in a month. Recently they added a feature where after a weeks worth of work you can’t work in that class until Sunday. I’m behind and now I cannot catch up. It also keeps removing steps so classes are becoming even longer. Genuinely it’s such an inconvenience and is SO frustrating. My sister has emailed about this and they completely ignored it. Change this feature Acellus!!!

This app is bad
Do not get this app if you pulled your children out of school and were behind this app will not let you catch up. It makes you feel stupid and it does not do a good job at keeping track of your schoolwork. I really hope the next program I do is much better.😠

Hate The New Update
I’ve quite enjoyed this program and how it has been so far. However, the new step limit is horrible. You cannot choose the amounts of steps you want to do anymore and it is very frustrating. The ability to do forty steps per week in each class was an amazing thing that is now gone
I like this but I am so mad
I spend 20 minutes trying to get tomorrow’s work done too, I’ve done i dont even know how many steps and it still says i have to do work tomorrow.

i liked it before the update
The new update is horrible! I was on a trip for a couple of weeks and i wanted to catch up. After like 30/35 lessons it tells me i’ve done enough school. Like, i need to catch up, there should be a mode where you’re trying to catch up or something and you say how many days you missed. I also don’t like this as well: write a book should have chapter books/customizable pictures but not like where you put stickers i meant like a canva sort of thing, like where you create your own wallpaper and stickers.

Horrible
This app used to be amazing and I was getting through my classes quickly while still obtaining the knowledge and skills. But they keep changing things and making it harder for students to complete classes as they want at the speed they want.
Amazing
I love this app. In the beginning, it kind of confused me how they taught but now it has helped me . 2.75 GPA with their help now I’m at a 4.0 GPA! Some of the teachers teach really slowly and act, as if I am younger than they think I am.
Worst program
I want you guys to kick me out right now because your program is the worst You guys have the worst teachers, the worst courses and most importantly the worst course of all time algebra either you guys kicked me out or I will go ahead and go bomb the company which one will it be? And you have an AI assistant as my guide what is wrong with you? I always have to do vector instruction because of how hard the questions are and I watch the same video 1000 times during my final exam and during vector instruction. it also randomly kicked me out for no reason when I’m on a course. So this is my message to y’all either you guys kick me out permanently or I will go ahead and go tell my mom to kick me out of this 1940s program which one will it be?!?!?!?!?!?!?
