Great Functionality Bad Price

The functionality is great but the price keeps creeping up subtly as Adobe rearranges functionality. Keep losing what I need in the middle of my subscription: combining files. Had enough, deleting and using some other program. Thanks for supporting small business Adobe - not. Even tried free trial of premium to use and wouldn’t work. Had this for years; very disappointed.

Confusing

Difficult to move around within the app confusing on where everything is

Unusable in Current State

I have been using Acrobat Reader for years, possibly decades. It has usually been a better-than-average app.

The last few versions, though, have been terrible. Previous versions have been slow to open, but the latest version is interminably slow.

I keep all my documents on my iPad. I have many files, of various sizes, from kbs, to numerous MBs.

My iPad is a 9th generation, running the current version of OS, and the most recent version of the app.

Doing anything causes the app to be inoperative for several, and often many, seconds, before it responds, to the point where even something as simple as renaming a document can take up to two minutes to complete.

I cannot delete and reinstall the app, in what I suspect would be a futile attempt to improve
performance as, as previously stated, all my documents are on my iPad, and will be deleted with the app.

Also, I cannot move my documents to the cloud, so they will survive deleting the app, as app responsiveness is that slow, that transferring each file, individually, will drive me insane. I tried to transfer five files to the cloud this evening, four small, and one around 10MB (not that big). It took 45 minutes just to transfer these five files, which, quite frankly, is ludicrous.

Perhaps you need to concentrate on making the performance of the app acceptable, rather than front loading it with all this AI, which many users neither need, nor want, especially if it continues to affect performance so badly. I believe the AI tools are part of the issue, as the performance issues seem to start cropping up, around the time AI was introduced.

Or, perhaps, release an app without the AI components, if these are what are causing the issue?

Regardless the performance of the app, in its present state, is not acceptable. I am seriously considering looking at an alternative to use in the future.

Directions?

I cannot figure out how to fill. I cannot find where to go for instructions. The old program was easier. Stop changing things.
