Very easy to use and informative.
No classes
What’s the point in paying for a membership if I can’t get on any classes unless I set my alarm for 5.55am so I can book for 7 days ahead along with the scores of people who are doing exactly the same. Simple remedy put more classes on and for all the people who book everything under the sun just to cancel what they do t fancy doing on the day charge a £2 cancellation fee if it’s within 24 hours

Blackpool Palatine sports Centre
The staff at palatine sports Centre are very friendly and go out of their way to give you the best advice possible. For example. I advised that I was a frontline worker and they asked for my ID which I handed over. They applied a discount to my account which was nice. Staff at poolside are always happy to help and give any additional information needed about pool times and which pools to use as they change day to day. Over all brilliant service well done to all.

Improvements to use of app
Active Blackpool facilities and staff 5 stars - Palatine particularly helpful. Couple of improvements to use of app - (1) currently need to call reception to double check lane swimming availability as although times are noted, sometimes all lanes are taken by a club (eg the app doesn’t note that all 4 lanes noted as open are not available Weds 6.45-7.45am due to a weekly club booking); (2) availability of track not available on app so it means another call in case they have a club booking. Would be great if info like this is included in the app.

Shower before entering pool!
The teaching is fantastic, so is the pool. However, I think people should be made to walk through a shower before they enter the pool for hygienic reasons! Also, the cubicles could be cleaner, corners for instance.
Absolutely fabulous!
I started going to the feed good factory about six weeks ago. The people are so friendly and we have a laugh! The equipment is not hard to use and safe. There is always someone there to help and support me. It gets me out and helps me with my mental health as well. Thank you so much.
Badly designed and difficult to use
An old, clunky app which is a copy and paste of the Blackpool sports website. Very difficult and frustrating to use, especially if trying to sign yourself up for using the app to book facilities.

Absolutely useless to anyone who uses an iPhone with voice over
If I could choose a star rating of zero for this app, I would do. The only positive thing to say about it is that you can actually download it from the App Store, though from the looks of things, it looks as if it hasn’t been updated for two or so years. Upon opening the app, I was able to choose the appropriate sports centre near to my home, but after that, there was simply a screen full of buttons that had not been labelled at all. On tapping on one of these buttons, I could discern no different from the screen before. To the developer, you really have not tested this app out with voice-over which is screen reading technology built into Apple that enables those of us with little to no site to interact with an app. As Blackpool is trying hard, and has received grants to improve its access ability, this is an absolute must. Sport Blackpool are apparently trying to make their sport more inclusive to those of us with disability. You will do well to start with this app. We can’t book any cycle track time or access swim timetables et cetera. Extremely poor.

I swim and that the website redirects me to this app, as the only source of information.
It takes a long time to access basic info re swimming. The entries overlap, so you can’t get info at a glance.
And where’s the list of pool closures?
Can you still access the full A4 printed timetable? They are available on paper at the pool, and have been on line too. They are better than this app.
Just like the keypads on the lockers, having to use this app makes it harder to use the pools, not easier.

Great App
Great app easy to use the only thing maybe would be is to put the person taking the class on the timetables other than that it's great.
Very useful but badly designed
Sport Blackpool have taken the right step in introducing this app. To book classes directly from the app is a much needed feature which on the whole works well.
I think to make this more customer friendly some improvements need making;
- Wait List feature - this is a great option in theory however instead of being next in line for a space in the class you instead receive an email to book, by the time you have checked your email you may have missed your chance at a space
- the swim timetable isn't well designed and doesn't effectively show that the pool is still open despite swimming lessons or an aqua class taking place
- it would be great to show what a particular gym class involves for those who are looking to try something new: e.g. What is Body Pump?how long does the class last? what should I wear to the class? Is this ok for beginners/advanced level?

So easy to book activities!
This app is great and long needed to make booking classes and activities quick and simple, definitely worth downloading if you use the Sport Blackpool activities a lot.
