Unstable, bookings rarely work
Hasn't been updated for 10 months. Advice from staff in leisure centres is 'keep trying to log in again until you can complete your booking'. Who has time for this? Just make the aoo work, or cancel it & go back to phone bookings. The app is beyond useless as it's a compete waste of time.
Hopeless App
This app has barely functioned for all of 2024, with numerous releases of the ‘new game changing app’ always postponed. I have tried to address it with staff and tech support. No joy. For all of 2025 to date I now can’t even log in! Can’t book classes at all as the ones I like are highly popular. No assistance from anyone!

Always problems booking classes
This app is intermittent, it rarely works and makes booking classes so frustrating, especially when classes are fully booked within hours of their release. You have to book 7 days ahead of the class you want to attend. And it does not alert you if you have moved from the ‘waiting list’ to ‘booked’ status meaning unless you check the app (that doesn’t work) constantly on the day you can miss out on attending.
Booking opens at 7am and you’re lucky if if the app is working………reloading, uninstalling/reinstalling, trying on desktop version and generally wasting time to book a class is unacceptable Active Nation

Terrible app
I would give 0 stars if I could. The app is incredibly unstable. When selecting a session from the calendar of events, sessions do not load. The following message appears: “Request failed. Please try again later.” If, after trying for around thirty times the session booking screen does actually appear, I receive this message and have to retry the booking again and again: “Session was not booked. Please try again later”. Unfortunately, because you have reduced the number of classes at times suitable for those work, and the class is very popular, by the time these issues are overcome this means there are no spaces left and a huge waitlist. It’s an appalling customer experience that affects the value for money from my membership.

Appalling app
This app has to be the worst apps I have ever used. Constant error message, lack of information, convoluted design system to even just get timetables. Not to mention it says every class is fully booked but when you go through the main website they aren’t……maybe look at everyone’s active app and a few others to learn how to put together a usable app!

Dreadful app
I’ve paid for a years membership and so far in the last 4 weeks have been able to attend 2 classes. The app rarely works and when I do get on it all the classes are booked with a huge waitlist. I’m not interested in the gym just the classes. The app constantly crashes, is so hard to use. I click on the relevant section and it just circles round. I go to my bookings and it often shows nothing although most are the waitlist anyway as I can never actually seem to get a booking.

It won’t even let me log in.Keep asking active nation whats the issue and advised to reset password,this makes no difference.So fed up of being told we are bringing out a new app shortly

For months now this app has been awful. It rarely ever works to book classes from without having to go through the website where you can’t see how many spaces are left etc.

The Quays - has been my favorite gym for the last 10 years! love the staff and love gym!
Glitchy!!!
My app regularly glitches and won’t show any classes for me to book! Barcode for entering gym doesn’t work for me either.

The app itself is great - my gym is currently getting its IT up and running meaning some of the features are not working -will update when I see improvement.
