Won’t let me log in
I’ve tried many times to login but I try to and it won’t let me login so I can’t even get past the login bit and was really looking forward to doing this workouts on the app but I guess that’s unfortunate.
Can’t open it
I try to sign up but clicking the button doesn’t do anything. I’ve completed all the boxes and accepted the terms (the links don’t even lead anywhere) and I’ve even tried logging in with my sign up info but nothing works. This is actively being maintained the ADF and so I expected better.
Doesn’t work
It won’t let me past the register part. I’ve refreshed reinstalled restarted my phone I’ve done everything and it won’t let me register just freezes when I press the button. Very annoying and I also can’t even get any IT support because I’m stuck at the starting page.
Can’t even create account?
So I can start enlistment at 16 join by 17 but can’t use the fitness app until I’m 18? And it doesn’t even tell me that I had to say 18 then it started loading before I just decided I’d rather map out my own workout
Unable to use app
Account still under review over a month after submitting information. Whats the point of this app if you can’t use it?
Why fix what wasn’t broken?
I used to use the adf active app for at home work outs. Not even trying to join the ADF tbh.
It was great. It gamefied it for me. I would try to complete all the work outs each week and reach 100% consistency.
Then it started glitching and not letting you log in. And now you’ve replaced it with this thing, which is like, what, some buggy videos? Much worse UI.
The push up rhythm for the practice PFA is ever so slightly off rhythm and it is so annoying.

Still waiting access to App after three month - « your request is under review ». No way to contact
As many, I was gobsmacked to see the ADF active app go. I have tried to register into the new app. More than one month later, my account is still under review and I cannot access it
Don’t bother
As a current member of the ADF even I cannot get an account sorted to use this app. The support is non-existent and to be quite frank, this app is in the same shape as overall ADF recruitment; useless. Save your energy and the stress for the gym, find another preparation app.
The good and the bad
Honestly the other reviews had me worried while it is a little bit more confusing I do believe this app is much more comprehensive and allows for better progress would highly recommend whether your goal is to just improve fitness or to join the ADF
No sound?
I understand this is a new app release but I feel having sound in your videos should be pretty obvious to have? Why discontinue to the ADF Active app when it wasn’t broken in the first place
Excellent info, slightly glitchy
I've learned a lot from this app, especially about recovery and mobility.
A bit on diet and hydration would be handy but you've got to stop somewhere I guess.
It'd be 5 stars if the videos were easier to pause/rotate through on warm ups.

Sad to see the ADF active app go
Adf active app was a lot better with a lot more variety of workouts and all the other features🙁
If they’re planning on keeping this app up and running I’d personally say to introduce the same interface as the old app and all of its features as it was a lot more user friendly and informative and just a good workout app all round even if you’re not joining the ADF? Recommend my friend to use the ADF active app and was told it’s been decommissioned which is really sad to hear

Terrible app reflects poorly on defence
This app is absolutely garbage. Horrible to navigate, and it uses embedded PDFs or something to display text.
As others have mentioned most of the material is not available.
This app should really be scrapped and a simple website should replace it.
I try to offer constructive feedback when I write a review but I feel like this is such a poorly executed project and it just needs to be started again by a completely new team.

Step back - usability and functionality.
Cannot understand why the change to this new Ap. I am currently prepping for fitness test. I have lost history and training plans plus this one is not user friendly.
Old app was 100 times better
Not sure why the ADF has dumbed down its app. Old app was excellent for someone looking to get fit to join the defence forces. Now it’s just a poorly designed app that doesn’t set the standard and keep you accountable…
Don’t release it early
This was released before the entire app was accessible. How about keeping the old one working before deleting it.
Makes it hard to do a PFT practise without a cadence.

What is this
ADF Active was way better in terms of actually having PFT cadences, instead of saying what the cadence is; implement the cadence as the previous app did. This app is horrible and doesn’t show actual potential members realistic PFT tests. This app is under developed. What a shame!
Please Bring Back ADF Active Until This App Is Ready
I don’t usually write reviews, but I’m genuinely sad that the ADF Active app is gone. It was decommissioned before this new one is ready or usable. I used ADF Active app daily for workouts, PFTs, and programs like Quick Abs and HIIT. This app currently offers very little in comparison. ADF Active was free and far more useful. Please consider bringing it back until this app is fully functional. Not sure if the devs or UAT team will see this, but proper end-user feedback should be taken seriously.

ADF active app
The ADF active app is much easier to use and it’s good having the workout countdown and person doing the workout with you. ADF ready app is not exactly easy to use and the workouts you have to do on your own with no person and no countdown. Much prefer the ADF active app.
Finish the app before you cancel it’s predecessor
Went to conduct my workout today using the ADF Active app only to be told that the app is no longer supported and users should download this app. Some notice would have been nice but no stress.
So I pause my workout to download the new app, I open it and when I try to select my service the app tells me that it is “coming soon”.
The least you could have done is finished the app before cancelling the features of the perfectly good ADF Active app. How soon until all features of this app are available?
