Bore Fest
Hate to say it but the whole thing was a bit of a broken bore. Our Company just tried it, and the whole app design just broke down. The initial activities to even get access to the map were not really that engaging, and then it took over 15 minutes to get a challenge validated before being allowed to proceed to the next challenge. Amounted to 1.5 hours of standing around twiddling our thumbs. On the bright side, we got to sit back and just enjoy talking to our co-workers. It was just one big frustration.

Le Ripoff
Paid $10 for a an adventure hunt in Portland, Me. Upon opening, it gave me a map, a vague clue (something like “Roses are red, violets are blue, Anne has a rose, and one for you, too.”) and indicated that we were “within 2500 ft” of the destination. Maybe a local would be able to use that sparse info to locate a landmark, but not a visiting tourist who knows nothing of the area. So I clicked to get a hint…and discovered a paywall. $10 more for hints to make using the app possible? I am disgusted.

Omaha under construction
The Omaha scavenger hunt was impossible with all of the construction going on. Couldn’t even get to the first clue. Thankfully they gave me a refund (otherwise would be 1 star).
Didn’t work
It was a great idea but when we got to our first location it never told us we arrive. We even payed for picture clue to make sure we were in the right place. $15 down the drain

I should have known when I saw so many No Refund notices. We completed the Las Vegas hunt, which should have been called the Summerlin mall adventure. There was virtually nothing in Las Vegas and all of the clues were extremely boring locations.
They recommend you have a car, but for this hunt it is necessary because the clues were all spread out miles apart.
Everything was just extremely low effort, you are better off just searching the 5 best things to do in a city and just do those at your own pace.

Las Vegas Hunt
We registered for the Las Vegas hunt. The most fun part was the hike we did at the beginning of the day. The rest of the app/ Adventure was lame. We were given clues to strip malls in a suburb of Las Vegas, not even the strip. Do NOT waste your time or money on this. We were so looking forward to participating after watching on Shark Tank but the “adventure “ was NOTHING like the promotion of these events. I would give it a zero but that’s not an option. You are better off just planning fun stuff on your own than signing up for a specific hunt.

Faulty App ruins fun
About halfway through trying to earn points to unlock the map the app froze and crashed. The result of this was the loss of our challenge list thus preventing us from going on with the hunt. We contacted support and about 2 hours later got a response to try and do basic troubleshooting that we already tried about 30 times 2 hours before. By this time the treasure had been claimed. After several emails, and another hour or so, support told us "it wouldn't have mattered anyway because the lead team was so far ahead of you, you wouldn't have won anyway."
That's quality customer service, if quality means non-existant.
I would never do another AdventureHunt for the remainder of my natural life! Just a waste.

Totally Disappointed. Unusable.
I signed up for Adventure Hunt in San Francisco on March 9, 2019. I was really excited because I have done similar scavenger hunts around the city before that have been a lot of fun. The morning of the hunt I woke up and was ready at 9am to view and complete tasks on the list and was totally shocked that almost all of the tasks on there could not be completed in San Francisco. The majority of them had to be done in the water, and if you know SF you know that although we are in California, water sports are not something people partake in here. It never gets warm enough and the ocean is just too cold for anyone but surfers with body suits to go in.
I had seen in the videos a lot of water activities from other hunts, but was hoping that they took into consideration the location and tailored them to be appropriate for the place. The only two that were tailored for SF were walking the Golden Gate Bridge and going to Azkaban (which you have to book 3 months in advance).
I reached out to Adventure Hunt right away to let them know how disappointed we were and that we could not compete and would like a full refund. They encouraged me to "get out there and have fun." I wrote back explaining that it was not as advertised and due to the types of challenges they offered we could not compete. I didn't get a reply and had to write back to them again. Finally I got a response that they will not refund me. They said they are like any other concert or sporting event where you don't get your money back.
Um okay - even with sporting events and concerts, they are in locations that are appropriate for the climate and you get exactly what you pay for. Not a great comparison, Adventure Hunt.
Hopefully this review helps others with their choice of trying this out so they aren't disappointed and out money.

Adventure Hunt is the best way to spend your day, and the friendships you make along the way are priceless. I was actually blessed to get to go to Panama and meet the creators, and they are the best people ever! My boyfriend and I did the hunt last year in Miami, had a random Saturday off and figured why not give it a shot. So happy we did! Got 4th place and already signed up for 2019 Adventure Hunt and we’re currently counting down the days!

Extreme fun
This is only for people who have the time and want to have fun. If you go into it without doing any research then you won’t have fun. This is designed to push people and bring people out of their comfort zone. Made us do/go places we normally wouldn’t. Lots of fun to do with close friends.

For my husband’s birthday, we went on a treasure hunt and won a free trip to Panama. We went on it in July 2018 and it was a week we will never forget. This app worked perfect through the hunt and gave us all the codes we needed for the prizes we won along with our trip. It was perfect! Best adventure you’ll ever take and worth every moment!!!

SO MUCH FUN!!
The event is awesome and the app added so much to it! The clues were fun to solve and it made it fun and exiting to get the notifications as we got closer and/or further away from each stop. Super cool concept.
