Great training aid

I use this to practice single and two person CPR as a volunteer emergency responder. The voice prompts and timings work well for me in the default setting. I appreciate that the actions sequence does not include prompts for rescue breaths because, in my experience of training to use a bag valve mask and airway adjuncts it is very easy to get out of synchronisation if these are provided.

Ansich Gute App

Gute App aber die Sprachen sollten wirklich übersetzt werden, weil alle stimmen englisch sprechen nur mit verschiedenen Akzenten.. Ansonsten super Simulations App👍

Languages

There is written „not every voice can speak every language“ all the Voices ONLY speak English… so please fix this! I can’t use it

Seems straight forward, but there’s no sound!

Got this app for my first aid classes to use as a demo for my AED lecture. The app has no sound, so not exactly useful at all for my course. Hoping there’s an update right away to fix this issue

LGI

It claims to have realistic voice prompts, but that is not true. There is no sound at all!

Response from developer

I'm sorry you are having difficulties with this. Ensure that the phone isn't on mute or that the volume isn't turned completely down while running the app to hear the voice prompts.

First aid training

Ok so it’s basic I agree but hey ho it does exactly what you want it gives the voice commands and tells you to start CPR and counts down! What more do you want for 99p

Excellent

This is exactly what I need for our tabletop drill. Thanks a lot for the app, Dev!

Great potential

I am a CPR instructor and This is an awesome idea ... it does need to have legit voice prompts & metronome though . It would be cool to give students an option to download this during class and that would be the aed they use for training.. I would buy an Instructors package or subscription for that option..

Response from developer

The voice prompts in the app are based on the Lifepak 500 AED. I'd love to know more about what you mean be legit voice prompts. I agree that a metronome would be useful so hopefully that will be make it in a future update.

Needs sound and connector for pads

I had pads but no way to connect them . It does not tell you you have to buy the $25 connector.

Response from developer

You do not need to buy pads or anything additional once you have purchased the app. The prompt to connect pads is part of the simulation. Once you've done that step in the "real world", usually by going through the motion or verbally indicating that you've attached pads to the patient you tap the white pads icon on the app to advance the simulation to the next step. I get this can be confusing and will likely be reworked next release.

Not worth 99p!

Got to be one of the worst impressions of being an AED! Must have taken a whole 2 minutes to write this app.

Silence is not golden.

I wish I'd read the reviews that note that there is no sound. It makes it useless as a CPR training aid.

Response from developer

Can you contact me directly (gerry_shaw@yahoo.com). I'd like to know why you aren't able to hear any sounds since that shouldn't be happening.

Good

App does almost everything I need. Would like to have a metronome sound (100 bpm) for students to follow along during the CPR portion.

Not useable as a trainer.

Purchased this as a training aid for CPR classes. What the description fails to mention is that there is no sound. Fine as a free app for self review, not worth paying for.

Response from developer

Please contact me directly (gerry_shaw@yahoo.com). I'd like to figure out why you aren't getting any audio since that shouldn't be happening.

SCAM

This is a scam! No voice prompts. Wasted money on this crappy app

Metronome

Can you upgrade the app so that when it gives instructions to begin CPR you can hear a tone at a rate of 100bpm?

I use this in my CPR classes and encourage my students to download it.

From what I can tell as a generic, yes it it is within the 2010 guidelines.

AWESOME

After having an aed break right before a week's worth of classes in the middle of Challis, ID I found this app and was eternally grateful. Was also able to easily hook the LP 500 training pads to my iPhone. Thanks creator. Couldn't be happier.

Very nice!

Well done, this app is very realistic!
Was hast du erwartet? Ein Spaßprogramm? Das ist ein Simulator.

New Standards?

Does this meet the 2010 CPR guidelines or will there be an update soon?

Fantastic!

Thank you for creating an awesome app that I can actually use for teaching first aid classes... I will make this a mandatory download for candidates in future courses. Making electrodes / pads or adapting other ones to fit an iPod is relatively easy, so it's perfect!

Great for teaching

Delighted to find this app, shows People how easy an AED is to use, realistic user interface and voice prompts.
