Timer no longer working
After nearly a year the timer was finally fixed, only for the fix to be short lived.
Whilst it appears the timer has been set, a few minutes later it changes to none, thereby cancelling any timer that was set.
I presume it will take a further year for AEG to fix it again.

Timer has been fixed.
After over a year, and countless people leaving negative reviews, the timer function has finally been fixed.
This doesn’t absolve AEG of terrible customer service, but I’m glad it’s fixed.
Empty standard responses of “your feedback is important and we have escalated it internally” are useless… give your customers honest insight to the problem and timescales required to fix problems.
If it continues to work I’ll happily increase my review rating further.

Timer finally working
It has taken nearly a year, but glad to report that the timer appears to be fully working.
Hopefully AEG will not break it as happened in July 2025.

Air con timer still not fixed in app
The app works well enough, but one of the key functions is the timer, and trying to access this via the app results in dozens of live crabs, squid and octopi pouring through the air con vent and flapping around onto the carpet. This is highly distressing to my family as you can imagine. Instead of an AI-generated response, it would be better to explain why it’s not been possible to fix and provide some actual timelines by which it will be addressed. It’s especially lazy given this feature was working perfectly before.

Working nicely with Comfort 6000
Version 4.25 seems to have fixed the reliability issues. Now working well again, except for the long standing issue of the timer function not being available in the app.

AEG Aircon supplied without a remote “because there is an app”.
AEG app starts with mandatory acceptance of AEG’s data policy.
Aircon unit has bluetooth, but still insists on requiring you to provide email, precise location data, wifi settings. There is no opportunity to opt for bluetooth only and keep your data private.
A terrible example of unnecessary data mining.
AEG - work on providing a Bluetooth interface to control local appliances and enable an opt out of forced collection of personal data. Meanwhile, I hope your data protection policies are robust.
Update - having worked initially, the ‘set timer’ app function has been broken for over a year and a number of updates have not fixed the issue. If only there was a physical remote . . .

Unreliable
AEG decided to make my air con unit without a remote control yet the app that’s supposed to control it doesn’t work. The timer has been broken for about 15 months and there is no way to get support. The app also regularly disconnects from the device and won’t reconnect. You then end up spending hours trying to reset the device, the app etc. I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall, recreate my account. My wife has given up trying to get her phone to connect. This is absolutely the worst app I have ever used and there is no support available. I will never buy an AEG appliance again.

App OK but key features missing or buggy
The timer feature for my a/c unit has been getting worked on for a year now. With still no sign of getting fixed. The unit does not respond to fan speed changes etc through the app. Temp setting and switching off on works but that’s about it.

App works ok except occasional disconnects require complete reinstall which is a pain in the proverbial.
Most frustrating is that the timer option for my A/C unit just disappeared altogether. It’s really handy to set it to the. For an hour a turn off. Very frustrating

Latest update wiped out connection to my A/C unit and now reconnected App is even worse than before. App does not sync setting with A/C unit and keeps resetting mode to Auto.
Timer also not work through App and target temp resets to “null”.
Please fix because it’s almost useless.

Superb app and product
AC timer feature forgotten?
App is fairly buggy, have to remove my portable air conditioner and re-pair to get the app to “remember” the settings while it is on. Also the timer function shows as “unavailable our engineers are working on it” and has done since I bought it over a year ago. How hard can it be to sort a timer? Seems like it’s been forgotten.

Appalling failure of an app
The air-conditioner no longer works with Alexa under Alexa+. Also the timer function doesn’t work. It feels like this whole thing is unsupported and falling apart. And if they do this with their apps, what’s happening with the quality of their products ?

Another update without restoring the timer function to air conditioners such as the Comfort 6000. This air conditioner continues to be let down by a useless app. AEG should add support for Home Assistant then their customers would be able to avoid this useless app.

Latest release broke the app… My air conditioner has disappeared and can no longer add it after numerous resets. If you can’t have a reliable app then at least provide a remote control.

Trying to connect up an air conditioning unit is more complicated than flying to the moon. Have given up. Awful app. Don’t get an AEG air conditioning unit as this is the only way of controlling it. Will be returning the unit tomorrow.
Doesn’t work
The app no longer connects to my a/c unit. Have had no problems for the last 18 months but appliance mysteriously lost connection to the app and despite going through entire set up process several times, where it successfully connects, the details are then completely lost when I return to Home screen. Refreshing makes no difference. Rubbish
