Cleared my schedule
The app is incredibly difficult to navigate, but I persisted and built my schedule within it… only for the app to be inaccessible for at least a day and to find my schedule completely cleared afterwards. I’m now starting from scratch. Just add events to an external calendar instead of bothering with this.

Very Frustrating
First time attending AERA & this app was a disaster to navigate.
So many poor designs on this app it’s difficult to know where to begin. Here are things to consider for next year:
1) make all sessions searchable by presenters’ names
2) allow individuals to search for sessions by topics
3) include presentations under participants profiles
4) upload slideshow presentations in each session on the app for easy access & downloads (with presenter’s consent, of course)
5) completely scratch this attempt at making your own app and just use the WHOVA app like CEC does every year that already has all of these features already embedded & works flawlessly.

Worst app ever
I know there are smart and tech savvy folks in AERA and yet this app is the worst ever.
Does not work
The app has been stuck on the title page for the past two days. Utterly worthless if it can’t be used.
Glitchy with no support
Much like its atrociously designed website the AERA conference app is almost laughably bad. I can’t even login using the one-time credentials it generates. Requests for support go unanswered. Truly dreadful.
Useless
Can’t find a session by searching a presenter name. Can’t find the streaming sessions.
Less functionality from 2023 and that is saying something!
When you look up people it doesn’t list their presentations! That was the only function I really used to navigate last year. Now you have to know the name of the session and use a convoluted search function and it still may not find it. How come I couldn’t find my own session!? All this money for registration and a non usable app!

AERA has persistent technology problems. This app is a new low and the pinnacle of worthlessness. Best to just do without
Disappointing
The names of speakers are not linked to the people search. The app does not link to the website interface so you have to recreate the schedule. Once you find a session, the names of presenters are not listed. Functions like being able to chat or network with others are not useful because no one is signed up so this feature could be dropped entirely. There are no useful maps to find out where to go. I do not recommend this app for conferences.

Useless
I was looking for a session and couldn’t search by people. I ended up just going to the webpage on my phone which is more user friendly. I will just delete the app since it is even worse than previous years.

Can’t search by person. Any item loaded to my schedule takes me back to the first session of the day. Events I loaded online are not visible in the app.

My Schedule won’t load
My custom schedule is all visible online but the app is totally useless. Why create your own app if you can’t make it work. There are plenty of vendors you can use. This is an embarrassment.
Horrible
It’s absolutely horrible. Doesn’t load, takes ages to load a single day, fails to add sessions, etc. don’t even bother.
Times out
This timed out for each calendar day I tried to look at. I was just trying to test to see if my items saved online were appearing in the app. The items I added were on Sunday and I couldn’t even get to Sunday because the app would time out on every day, so I consider this useless at this point.
