Stopped working!
My garden stopped connecting to WiFi. I didn’t change anything. I have restarted my wife but still not connecting. So this app is useless now.
Worked great until discontinued support
I would give this 1 out of 5 stars but it actually DOES still sort of work. I have to relog every time I open the app (which is almost daily to turn off the lighting at various times during the day). The app is basically limping along while the parent company just rolls on by. I assume the software development was outsourced and the parent company (MiracleGrow), couldn’t be bothered to keep going with it. I get that, but I’d rather the server-side management and login be open sourced so I can install it on my local network or similar via Docker or something like that. It’s super frustrating that something as simple as login info isn’t stored and authenticated every 6-12 mos.

App broke. Again
v2.1.1 on an iPad. Its a new month and the app will not let me log in. I can log into the website with my credentials but get error messages in the app. One time email code doesn’t work either. I get the email but i can’t log into the app. Deleted and reinstalled the app and it still doesn’t work. Super frustrating and the support on the site is AI. 4 days later… Edit to add: the devs have resolved the login issue and the app is now working. The lights can once again be controlled via app. I hope we do not have the same issue in the next month or two, or with the next release.

New Customer - So far very bad experience
Update 6/4/26: eventually after my original review the app started functioning. Not to worry though I’m back because this is by far the worst smart light product on the market. No in between or questions about it. This product is garbage.
Now the app works but, it actually doesn’t. Set a light schedule… nope it doesn’t follow it. Try to turn the light on or off in the app…. nope. Not happening.
As someone that is not new to smart devices I thought ok, software error. I will reset the device fully. Set it up again.
Same results.
Read my original review, and do yourself a favor stay far away from these products. I hate saying that because I like their designs but this is the worst smart device in my house by far, and my house is smart from top to bottom.
They shouldn’t legally be allowed to sell this as a smart device. Even Alexa skill can’t sync with it, even though it says it can.

First I was gifted the AeroGarden Tabletop Grow Light. It arrived and did I not work at all.
I reached out to customer service and they informed me that my model had been discontinued so they would replace it with the Trio Grow Light instead. They are very different lights but I said ok.
Provided all the necessary information on January 20th which included what option I wanted and my address. I didn’t hear back but figured I’d get some sort of notification that it was shipping.
2 months later it hit me that I hadn’t heard anything or received anything.
I replied to the exact same email chain asking what the deal was. Customer Service replies the next day and said “We are sorry to hear that you missed our email on January 20th.” and that they needed to know what option and my address.
I was baffled considering the email I replied all on was the email where I told them the option and address. Meaning they opted to blame me for not replying when I did in fact do as requested.
I tell them the information they want again and they finally confirm and ship the trio light.
It arrived, I set it up, and now the app doesn’t work, you can’t login. It’s been known too. The fact that it’s an issue that has been going on this long without correction is quality problem.
Having smart devices that heavily rely on an app should not never go weeks of time where the app doesn’t work.
Yes you can manually turn it on, but all the intended features that you want access to are in a non-functional app.
I’ve always wanted AeroGarden and this has completely made me rethink getting anything else from the brand.
There has been no communication as to when the app will work again. This review is 2 stars because the lights work, but the quality or service, and lack of the functioning app pretty much have ruined it.
