AeroRouteMap

AeroRouteMap is a flight-planning reference and route visualization app for iPhone and iPad. Use a fast offline world vector map to inspect country borders, country names, terrain, lakes, and route geometry without relying on map tiles. Enter aviation-style route text such as waypoint, airway, waypoint sequences, or add coordinate-defined custom waypoints and closed shapes. AeroRouteMap draws the great-circle path, labels waypoints, estimates leg distance and bearing, and can show a projected aircraft position from UTC takeoff time and flight time. Tap a country to review reference information including ICAO and ACC names where available, capital, population, area, GDP, currency, exchange rate, and monthly climate line charts. Country names can be shown in supported app languages while route controls remain in aviation English. AeroRouteMap can update its NavData package from a public static update site. The app validates downloaded data before installing it locally and falls back to bundled data when no update is installed. Important limitation: AeroRouteMap is for planning and reference only. It is not certified AIRAC navigation data and must not be used for operational navigation, dispatch, air traffic control, terrain clearance, or flight safety decisions.
