Please update this app

This app is very unpredictable. You can wake up with 500 to spend and never spend from your bank account. But mid-day it’s going to decline transactions and tell you you’ve gone over the limit.
Then it’ll say $0 available and still show the money you have in your bank account. Next notification comes within 24 hours: “YOUR ACCOUNT IS NO LONGER CONNECTED”
I’m tired of signing into my account every day for this app to work. Its starting to feel like fraud.

Good product, Awful App

Love the concept and the product.
The App is constantly losing connection to bank my account. For no apparent reason. Nothing has changed. No a fan of having to constantly link my bank account and re connect.
Will Probably stop using product due to the constant app hassle.

Doesn’t work as advertised

Im a long time Affirm customer and generally pretty happy with the company but I jus got their new Debit + card and activated it yesterday and went to Home Depot to get some paint and supplies i needed for $155. The card didn’t give me the option to select payment plans and instead said “ Your available to split amount is currently unavailable”. Affirm says Your supposed to have 24 hrs to decide if you want to split payments but I got none of that. Im just being charged full price from my checking account. Customer service couldn’t explain to me what at Home Depot wouldn’t be eligible for payment plans. All I bought was paint supplies and thats not on Affirms restricted list so I'm at a lost but since it’s my first time using this card, I don’t want any more surprises so I’ll probably just cut up the card. Big disappointment for me.

Issues with connecting bank account

When I first signed up I was able to link my bank account just fine. Having the card now for several months I get notification my bank account was disconnected due to technical difficulties. When I go into Affirm Debit + my account j for is still linked and there, shows my current balance, but says I have no funds available to use with my Affirm Debit + card. I tried to reconnect my bank account but keep getting errors. When I go to my bank it says they are still connected to Affirm Debit +. I had the bank stop allowing them access so I could re-add my bank account but when I go into Affirm Debit + it stills shows it even though I had the bank stop their access. So I again try to add my bank account but again get the same error. I keep getting emails stating I need to re-add my account. How can I re-add when it won’t let me not to mention it still shows it’s linked. Now the card is unusable which is fine as I had not even used it yet because I’m still trying to figure out how it even works.

Doesn’t support most banks even with Plaid

I tried in the following order, Robinhood, Chime, SoFi and even my local credit Union UCCU. Seems like they only want you if you’re dealing with the big boy banks but since I don’t I guess I won’t. Big thumbs down from me. What does it matter who I bank with, you can see my balance in plaid and you’re debiting via ACH. You’ve lost a potential customer.

Dangerous to connect your bank

It’s extremely dangerous to connect your banking account to this app via Plaid the processor Affirm uses to access your debit card.
You see you not only forced give Plaid access to one debt card but you are forced to grant them access to EVERYTHING you have with that particular bank. They want your overall bank signin, not just one account, they get access to all debit cards you have, all credit cards, any loans and your entire bank statement, in short any and all information your bank has Plaid (and therefore Affirm) receive access to.
Too massive a risk for me

No cash back rewards

Card works perfectly for me. Only two drawbacks: 1. No cash back rewards 2. No other benefits like car rental insurance etc. Maybe Affirm can offer us the choices to select the above benefits by paying layered membership fees? If we have such choices available, I will close my other credit cards.

Terrible Service

First off, I will start off by saying when the service first launched everything was fairly smooth. I was able to connect my bank, and make a few purchases successfully splitting the purchases. Then for some reason affirm had some technical issues and my bank was disconnected. I tried to re-connect and my bank was no longer supported for some reason. So i closed my account. I had one of my purchases refunded after i closed my account and its now been over a month and affirm still hasnt given me my money, and customer service has been awful everytime I reached out so at this point I dont think ill ever get my refund. Lastly, i think its stupid that you have to have enough money in your checkings account in order to complete a purchase for that matter just use your actual debit card…

Disappointed

I was approved, received my card info, applied to make several purchases under a specific amount. I was told I had 2 hours to complete my transactions. The card was denied and only approved for what was available in my personal account.

Changed the iOS compatibility so I can no longer use

Terrible

The closest thing to a scam! They say you can split payments but everything you purchase isn’t eligible for split payments everytime you make a purchase. They can’t even tell you why it’s ineligible either. It’s a legal scam! Might as well use your regular debit card because this one is VERY misleading and useless!!

Worst experience!

The system keeps inviting and prompting me to download, then tells me I am not one of the”invited”.

While I have successfully used Affirm many times, and successfully paid - on a timely basis- all obligations; this app definitely leaves bad vibes and is a discredit to Affirm.

Pointless

Just use your own debit card no purchase is ever approved or meets the “qualifications” no matter what the amount is.

So confusing

It’s telling me that my card is available download the app. When I go through the process it says they are working on a spot for me. Whatever!!!

Debit + Card

I have been trying for a month to get this card and I have been told to try another bank. I don’t use another bank. I have used Affirm for years and currently they have all my bank information. This is so annoying.

Stuck

I can’t get past the “we can’t verify it’s you” and contact our support team button doesn’t do anything. Have tried to link my account several times now. I hate giving my banking info multiple times. Makes you wonder where it goes when it doesn’t work. It says “Plaid” has it. Great.

Link process broken

You have the option to link to USAA but have no way to do name, password, and pin. Useless until patched.

FAKE Offer

Affirm invites you to take this card then tell you it is not available!!! What is the point.

Passcode

After entering passcode no way to move forward.

'connection with linked account has been lost'. again...

i'd give the app four stars, if it weren't for the alert i woke up to this morning.

this will be the third time i've had to go through the process that links the app (or system backend) with my bank account.

this worries me a little, given that there's never any explanation for this happening. you don't expect a financial services app (or system) to lose your user data.

otherwise, the app and service have worked well for me. (although initial connection attempts are not always successful.)

better documentation would be helpful--about the purchase amount preapproval process, especially.
