Dangerously Inaccurate
I have been tracking my body composition for over three months using a medical-grade Tanita MC-780U. On the same morning, same body, I compared both readings side by side.
The results were alarming:
- Body fat: this app said 30.6% — medical scale said 18.5%
- Muscle mass: this app said 111 lb — medical scale said 151 lb
- Visceral fat: this app flagged "Alert" — medical scale shows healthy range for three consecutive readings
- Metabolic age: labeled me "Elder" at it that old and actively training 7-9 sessions per week
This is not minor variance. A 12 point body fat error and a 40 pound muscle mass discrepancy are not rounding differences. These are errors large enough to cause someone to completely mismanage their nutrition, training, and health decisions based on false information.
The app looks clean, the interface is smooth, and the metrics sound scientific. That is exactly what makes it dangerous. It presents wildly inaccurate numbers with confident labels like "High+" and "Alert" that create unnecessary concern or false reassurance depending on which direction it misses.
If you want to track your weight over time, a basic bathroom scale and a notes app will serve you better and more honestly than this. If you want actual body composition data, invest in a proper assessment.
One star because zero is not an option.
some data change after i close the app

When I bought my Fittrack scale, I took a lifetime warranty. What can you do for me?
