About

Ever finished a walk and realised you forgot to press start? Start Afoot once and it records your day for you — telling walking, running, cycling, and driving apart on its own. No account, no server: everything stays on your device. ■ Records without pressing start - Tap Start once; Afoot keeps recording in the background until you stop it or the device sits still for 2 hours - Tells walking, running, cycling, and driving apart from speed and motion sensors - Trips on the water — a ferry, a river crossing — show as a boat - Detects the rests in between and splits your day into activities - Notifies you each time an activity is recorded, and if a recording stops ■ Wrong? Fix it in two taps - Split, merge, and re-type any activity right on the timeline - Clean up whatever the automatic classifier missed — it’s your record ■ Replay it on a map - Colour-coded routes per activity on the map - Choose a route colour gradient and out-and-back sections stay distinguishable from start to finish - Scrub the speed and elevation graphs to see the value and position at any point - Distance, average/max speed, steps, flights, and pressure at a glance ■ Group activities into collections - Keep related activities — a trip, a route you repeat — together under one name - See every activity in a collection on one map, each in its own colour - Add from the Activities tab, or pick activities from inside the collection ■ Move through your history fast - A density strip shows how much you moved on every recorded day - Jump back a day, a week, or a month — or pick any date from the calendar - Filter by walking, running, hiking, cycling, or driving ■ Your data stays yours - No account, no login, no server — everything stays on this device - No ads, no tracking, no analytics SDKs - Lock the app with Face ID or a 6-digit passcode - GPX import, and GPX export of the activity you’ve selected — take your data anywhere ■ Built with battery in mind - Location is used only while a recording session is running - The system pauses updates automatically when you stop moving - After 2 hours without movement, recording stops itself and tells you Afoot keeps your movement yours.

■ Collections — keep a trip or a repeated route together - Group related activities under one name and see them on one map, each in its own colour. An activity can belong to more than one collection - Add from the Activities tab or pick activities from inside the collection, in list or thumbnail view. Tap a member to jump to it in Activities ■ Route colour gradient - Pick two or more colours in Settings and the route runs from the first to the last, so out-and-back sections stay distinguishable ■ Boat trips - Trips on the water — a ferry, a river crossing — now show as a boat instead of cycling or driving ■ Notification if recording stops - If iOS ends a background recording, you get a notification instead of finding out when you next open the app ■ Editing - Split and merge stay fast no matter how much you’ve recorded, and a split lands exactly where the cursor is - When a split isn’t possible, you’re told why - Fixed the timeline not following the selected activity on iOS
