Tap Start tracking once and Afoot records your day on its own. It can tell whether youβre walking, running, cycling, or driving. You donβt need an account. Your history stays on your iPhone. β Automatic recording You donβt have to keep the app open. If Afoot gets an activity wrong, you can fix it on the timeline. β Workouts Choose cycling, walk/run, or hiking and set a goal by distance, time, or destination. Afoot reads out your progress as you go. When you finish, youβll see your pace (speed for cycling) and estimated calories. β Place alerts Save home or work to pause recording while youβre there. Save a place youβre heading to, and Afoot notifies you how far you have left as you get close. β Collections Put the activities from a trip, or a route you take often, on one map. Photos and videos you took along the way show up where you took them. You can export a collection as an image or a video. β Maps and history Every route has speed and elevation graphs. You can jump to any past day from the calendar. You can also import and export GPX files. β Privacy There are no ads, and no tracking or analytics code. Afoot looks through your photos on your iPhone and uploads nothing. You can lock the app with Face ID. β Battery Using GPS in the background can drain your battery faster.

A two-phase interval timer for yoga, built around one idea: you practise with your eyes closed, so the timer has to be heard, not watched. Each phase ends with its own sound. A single bright tone when a hold finishes. A rising three-note figure when the rest is over, long enough that you can begin moving into the next posture on the rise. You never look down, and you always know where you are. HOW IT WORKS Set your hold, set your rest, set the number of rounds. Press begin. That is the whole app. ON YOUR WRIST The Apple Watch app runs on its own, with the phone in another room. Every cue is paired with a distinct haptic, so a practice works in complete silence β in a shared room, or a sleeping house. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY β’ Keeps running with the screen locked and the phone in your pocket β’ Screen stays awake through a session, readable from a mat at arm's length β’ Skip a phase when a posture finishes early β’ Save the practices you repeat and start them in one tap β’ No account, no cloud, no sign-in HONEST PRICING The timer, every sound and every haptic are free, forever. One optional payment of $0.99 unlocks the Watch app, unlimited saved practices, and your streak and history. No subscription. It is finished software.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Afoot at none against Sthira's 1. Afoot also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.5). Sthira's advantage is update cadence (daily vs monthly) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
