A predatory time-and-money trap
The developers deliberately built this game to punish you for having a life. Years of progress can be destroyed while you sleep, then you’re pushed to spend more time and money rebuilding it. It weaponizes FOMO, timed rewards, shields, and catastrophic offline losses to keep players anxious and constantly checking in. This is not strategy. It is a predatory retention system designed to exploit addiction and sunk cost.

Internet always keep stalling
Doesn’t allow to play and keep trying to reconnect if nothing done about this I will delete the app straight away and never come back
Pay to win
Stuck with it for nostalgia, but game is mostly designed to encourage micro transactions, just when you think you might get somewhere with resource gathering etc you are forced to either slow progress to a crawl or purchase ‘keys’ and ‘torches’, speed ups to avoid 40+ day delays require waiting forever for sporadic rewards or paying cash for ‘imperial coins’ which cannot be traded for resources etc…

Been playing 20 minutes and havnt had even %1 of a challenge hopefully if I can stick to it once I get higher level the game will become better
Basic, cookie-cutter game
Plays like any other modern city-building game that over complicates and removes any freedom to learn and react to the game. Best thing about it is the graphics, otherwise not really like the original pc games as far as gameplay. Super long tutorial, I’m not even sure I got through the whole thing before losing interest. The tutorial basically prescribes every step for you until your basic village is a monstrous city, which takes away every element of city building that I enjoyed with earlier games. I enjoy making risky decisions and having to plan out next moves based on resources. These games don’t seem to offer an experience like that anymore, which is sad. Even the combat is too structured into scheduled battles. Not a good use of time or data in my opinion. Do better.

Unable to load the new update so game won’t open. My iOS is up to date and I have 10gb free in storage

WARNING DO NOT DOWNLOAD This is by far the absolute worst game on mobile. There is no menu, no options you can not sign in or make an account. Unplayable trash. Also massively slows your phone and uploads a virus.

You guys have the potential to make a huge, billion dollar empire, make it like a Starcraft game of the 2000's, etc.
If you actually try and recreate the magic of AOE 1-3.
You can have sports leagues wanting to get in and compete if you actually balance it right.
Please, I beg you. Millions of us have been wanting for something like this for over 20 years. Not this mobile wanna be version. Smh. 💔

Age rating
I had play it on PC and it is very nice, but now it tells me that this game is only for 18+, and guess what the age rating is 9😂. A battle between the left and right hemispheres of the brain of the game designer had occurred.
