Not Compatible With Hardware Keyboard
For some reason on ipad, Apple does not let you switch between this keyboard and your other keyboards by using the magic keyboard shortcuts. So, control+space does not switch they keyboard. The only way to switch the keyboard is to actually pull it up on screen (which slows you down significantly) and then hit the button on the screen. Then it is impossible, from that menu, to remove the onscreen keyboard until you switch back to your primary keyboard. This is just very frustrating when you are used to the seamless transition between Apple’s own keyboards. You can also switch the keyboard by going into the keyboard settings but this takes even longer than the above approach. All in all, this keyboard does work, but, for me, did nothing to help me, despite spending 5 bucks on it.

Help
The rough breathings only seem to work within the app itself: when I try and out a rough breathing over a vowel in notes, reminders or on my revision cards app it just becomes an apostrophe! Can someone help me please?
Help please!!!
I've had this AGK for some years on my iPhones (8 then SE) and it's been great definitely 4/5* until just recently (and possibly since iOS 16.4 software update during week ended 31 March 2023). Now it's too big in Messages and WhatsApp for me to see what I'm tapping out. And every time I access it, it is bigger til it fills the screen. I emailed developers for assistance but maybe this'll get attention too. Thanks.

Almost Perfect
Of all the Polytonic Greek apps I’ve tried, this is the best. Hoplite sometimes doesn’t register keys, ipolytonic glitches out on certain apps. There is another paid app that I’ve not yet tried, and don’t think I will, because I am happy with this one.
The only thing I could think of that would improve it would be adding the ability to slide the cursor with the spacebar or equivalent. Sometimes I mistype an accent, and going back is trickier without that feature.

Perfect for writing Koine Greek
I cannot believe how amazing this app has been. The iOS Greek keyboard is nearly useless for my studies. I need the breathing marks and accents and this app supplies them all. I love how I can customize (though limited) my keyboard to have a different look, instead of displaying the keyboard with the system font (which is ugly and boring). I want to thank the developer for this very awesome keyboard.

Absolutely great Polytonic Greek keyboard.
I would give this app 10 stars if I could! If you’re looking to input ancient greek into your iPad this is the app for you. I don’t agree with the other reviewers: I’ve experienced no bugs in using this keyboard and as for predictive text? For a free app that does exactly what it says on the tin I’ll do my own typing thank you. My only issue is that it can be a slight nuisance using macrons on iota and upsilon but it shouldn’t be too hard to tweak this... please Mr Yichi Zhang...

good, but...
I‘m transitioning to an iPad Pro + smart keyboard, and this app has generally been working well. Three improvements would earn it five stars from me: 1) addition of a semicolon (for punctuating questions) 2) addition of a raised dot (for punctuating statements) 3) synchronize the app keyboard with the folio keyboard (currently I type the letters on my smart keyboard folio and tap the accents from the onscreen keyboard; but they do not match up as far as punctuation is concerned).
Apologies if these features are there and I am missing something - please respond, if so!

Everything is manual
Doesn’t predict words, and doesn’t auto correct anything. Even punctuation. Don’t we have this technology nowadays? I guess if you really want to type with the old formal way with the accent marks (psili, Dasia, perispomeni), this app is good. But you have to really know that old school method of formal Greek so that you know exactly which accent marks to (manually) use.

The best
This is the best Ancient Greek keyboard!!
Great
I’m starting to learn Koine Greek and this app is perfect for typing flashcards or typing notes to myself for study or for fun. Please continue to keep it running well!
Room for improvement
as a native Greek speaker who went to school in Greece where everyone used to write modern Greek in polytonic I cannot believe that there is no predictive text so that diacritics are automatically placed. Modern technology has advanced so much that it should enable the polytonic system to come back (this was abolished in 1982 due to being too complex for the newly introduced newspaper automated printing machines of the day). Lack of predictive text is a significant drawback

So good
So amazing I wish I could give it 6 stars tbh
It's great so far!
It's easy enough to switch back and forth between my phone's keyboard and this one. Only thing I've noticed is that the delete/backspace button is way to sensitive. On the plus side, you can erase entire paragraphs in two seconds. Overall 👍 and Ἐπαινῶ.
Nearly perfect
It's exceptionally great! All the accents, all the letters, and punctuation. I only have an issue with the fact that the backspace deletes the letters too fast, and also a predictive option would be nice.
Helpful for Ancient Greek Students
This keyboard is excellent for the student of Koine or Attic Greek. The stock apple keyboard does not include many standard diacritical marks (breathing, accents, and accent breathing combinations).
This keyboard also allows for two different style layouts. One allows for a single button to function for all marks (long press) and the other gives a single button for each mark.
Excellent resource for the Greek student using iOS.

Great keyboard, I use it in college.
I use this keyboard to type out sentences in my Greek class, after translating them from English. The way accents, subscripts, and everything else is implemented is great. This app is a lifesaver.
καλός
I really like this keyboard. This functionality has been missing from iOS for a long time. This keyboard gives me access to what I need to type out the correct Greek characters for the notes I prepare for our family Bible devotions. Thank you for helping me serve Ἰησοῦς as I serve my family and feed them the nourishment that my κύριος expects me to provide them with.
The time to switch between keyboards is very fast on an iPhone 6 Plus and an iPhone 6s Plus. The time to switch between keyboards was slower on my old iPhone 4s that I had traded in.

ἀγαθός
The only Ancient Greek keyboard currently available for iOS. Works well and is very useful as I am a Classics major; however, when typing in text boxes on some websites (mostly social media, it seems), diacritics do not place themselves properly on capital letters. This is rare, though. Great keyboard!

Nice Keyboard
Easy to install, quick to switch to from the standard iOS keyboard, and simple in design. Overall a great keyboard.
One drawback is it doesn't appear to support Unicode. So if I type an character with diacritics, the diacritics will sometimes be ignored. For example, ἄ will be interpreted by some websites/apps as Unicode 945, which is plain alpha, instead of Unicode 7940, which is alpha with a smooth breathing mark and an acute accent. I hope the developer can add Unicode compatibility!

The keyboard works far too slow!! It should work as a proper keyboard...
