Needs SSO and at least Big Aha! Ideas access.

I couldn’t log in to our hosted environment, nor to the main Big Aha! Ideas platform itself. Apps like Discourse allow this, as do Microsoft’s apps for different organisations, and similar tools. Without this functionality, I can’t really see who this app is intended to support. It’s a shame, because this is exactly the sort of thing you’d want to do on mobile. Highspot can do it, as can Salesforce via different domains, and Allego supports SSO too.

Needs to be more like Discourse.org’s mobile app

I couldn’t log in to our hosted environment. Nor the main Aha! For the platform itself. Something like Discourse’s app allows just that, or Microsoft for different orgs, etc. Without this functionality, I basically can’t see who this app supports. A pity because it’s just the sort of thing one does when mobile.

Where do I begin with the criticisms?

Useless is the best way to describe this app, at least for anything you’d want to do in Aha!

A Glorified Task List

The app is nothing like the web based version. If you’re not assigned to it as work, you can’t see it. You can only see your tasks. Given that most of the roadmaps, goals, epics, and features span across multiple products and several years and a dozen product managers, this app precludes all the useful info I need to do my job.

Key features missing

This app needs some basic updates to be able to use key features of working with Aha! Specifically, the ability to promote ideas to features or requirements is one of the basic things we do every day. It would also be nice to be able to trigger the integration push in those features or requirements down to Rally for the Dev teams.

Wish I could still use this

Now that my firm has implemented MSFT SSO I can't get logged into the AHA! Mobile app.

Lot of people at my firm would use this if AHA! implemented the required MSFT SDK security policies. Please do so I can use my mobile app again and be productive on the go :)

No iPad landscape mode. Limited functionality

Seriously, an iPad app with no landscape mode? Really limited functionality too.

Subpar experience, mobile only

Can’t really edit anything.. beyond a ‘quick lookup’, this app provides no value and a frustrating, jarring experience at best. Searching ideas is painful. Seeing your own work and to-do items is painful.

The app should be limited to iPhone only, not iPad. Doesn’t even support screen rotation which makes it utterly useless if you flip the screen or you’ve docked your iPad on a keyboard.

The website works better on iPad Pro than the app does, that in itself should indicate that this is not an investment area for Aha.

Missing core functionality

The app is ok. The website is better, and the team works continuously to improve it. That said, we use ideas regularly on the go to add new items to an inbox. This is a core, paid functionally of Aha, and the mobile experience is subpar. There is no way to add categories when adding, even though they are required. I also have a required description for the portal, and ideas added in the web experience require those fields to be added. I don’t know how this got overlooked when adding ideas via the mobile app.

Works great

Thanks for supporting iPad

Time

Aha yeah I'm getting in here last week I had a great day.

Give me the ability to vote in the app 🙏🏼

Please! As a sales person this is all I really want out of the app

Does exactly what it should

Often these types of apps are so minimal as to be useless or they just try and recreate the full version on too small a screen. This gets the balance just right for me, I'm able to track my team's progress while I'm on the road, quickly answer customer queries about our roadmap and collect Idea requests while I'm still in the customer meeting (which both I and they love)

Limited functionality

Can’t filter by tag or assigned name in the features board so you struggle to find your team’s features.

Can’t take photos or scans of a whiteboard (would speed up user story creation)

Can’t edit the description if it has any text formatting from an edit in the online web based version

Pretty cool app though just better to go to a pc or even use the web browser on your phone even though it’s really hard to edit an navigate on a small screen.

how about IOS 13 support

App doesnt open

Keeps crashing

Disappointed in the app

I understand starting somewhere and with MVP, but the app was honestly a disappointment when compared to the web experience.

A very stripped-down version of the website. Not a replacement.

This app is so different from the webapp, I even wonder who it’s for. I like the webapp, it’s rich, fully-functional, and it’s a great product. This native app feels like a data-entry component, and its usability is so far from the webapp that I cannot fathom who it’s even for. I have resorted to using it on occasion that the webapp misbehaves on an iPad, but I’d rather Aha either fixed the webapp to make it work well on an iPad, or simply wrap the webapp in a native wrapper. This app is a poor native experience for what is a good product.

Long way to go

Everyone talks about how the app was worth the wait. I joined late, so I guess I missed the joy of waiting. I certainly understand MVP apps, but I’m not sure this app communicates that well. If it was meant be used only by Individual Contributors to manage their queue and responsibilities, it might be good enough, but say so! Don’t make me hunt for 30 minutes only to realize stuff just isn’t here.

Here are some things that are just weird:
- Both the app and the site lack a clear sense of flow. I don’t know where to start and where to progress to.
- The app is bizarre on iPads in horizontal mode. (Basically all iPad Pros connected to a keyboard)
- The app is missing the vision, roadmap, persona and other key functions, or if it has them, I couldn’t find them.

Great addition to the Aha! toolset!

This is going to increase my productivity significantly. For example, I can now take pictures of whiteboard drawings and prototypes on my phone and quickly attach to an item. I can also search for Idea numbers while talking with customers instead of having to email them later.
I’m sure newer versions will have even more features, like notifications.
