Good idea, limited practical applicability
This is a good idea that needs some work. As a horn player and singer in a band, the wink to advance or reverse pages is great in theory, however I wear glasses when I play and the wink is not recognized by the camera and app. Mouth will not work either for singing and horn playing.
Good idea, ok execution
I like that this app works to advance pages in a pdf without extra equipment like a pedal. For me, the mouth opening gesture works most consistently as long as no one is singing or talking behind me.
There are some features I would expect in the pro version that are absent:
1) the ability to go back using gestures (repeats in music or accidental advancement). One page at a time would be fine or the ability to specify what page to return to (map out the song) would be ideal.
2) the ability to easily return to pdfs I have used in the app before or to open a set of songs. In a performance situation with multiple pieces you would have to have enough time between songs to pull up the next song, or you would have to put the songs together into a single pdf.
3) the ability to mark up your music.
As it is, I only use this app when playing a song more than 5 pages long without do-able page turns or someone to turn pages for me. I always have to take paper backups in case the location has distractions behind me that the app accidentally interprets as page turning gestures. Mostly I try to use it sometimes in practice just for fun.
