Erratic Behavior
Arduous tutorial in just the sketch up hobbyist version. Fails to place added sketched elements on proper surface so can’t do extrusions as per directions in tutorial. Shapes keep getting decomposed into edges, making moving and deleting them aggravating. Cryptic messages about how dimensioning of shapes can’t be done because of conflicts with other constraints. I had used the simpler version of SketchUp previously with good results to easily make 3d renderings of work working projects, where 3d components could be quickly sketched, replicated and arrayed. This bells and whistles version is a big disappointment. Perhaps it behaves better if taking a paid subscription.

I was originally astonished by how intuitive and easy it is to learn this software. I changed my 5 star to a 1 star when I realised they don’t have copy and paste as a feature. Ctrl C Ctrl V is primordial. It exists in every piece of design software, it’s maddening. In Shapr 3D you can copy drawings within the same sketch (as a drag and copy, weird but fine) but if you want to copy a drawing onto a different face/sketch, it’s not possible. In any other CAD program it’s as simple as select > Copy > Change face > Paste, but to achieve this effect in Shapr3D you need to do an insane work around or redraw the entire sketch, which I can’t emphasis enough, is clinically insane

Great software, far too expensive
I’m loving the simplicity of it for 3D design, but it’s far too expensive for a hobbyist. I know there is a free version but its quality output is limited. I don’t mind paying for software, but this price just screams greed to me.
