It didn’t even recognize the Japanese menu. Used a different app that does the same functions as this app, and the better app translated the Japanese menu in 15 seconds accurately!

Great app, but sharing could be improved

The translation is working really well! Perhaps printing results (via share) could be improved if texts remain layovers instead of being incorporated into the picture itself, in which case texts could be too small to read, as they have been rasterised.

Surprisingly better than Apple Translate & Google

Apple Translate app doesn’t have Cantonese translation and Google translate has, but only if you use the website version(not the app).

This app has Cantonese translation built in from Apple translate into the app. Translations from DeepL makes more sense as it’s more
conversational like. No more gibberish translations and trying to decipher what is written.

It’s amazing how a dev can simply make someone else’s life much easier.

Works

It does what it says it will and it does it well.

Snap a photo or access your images and the app will translate all text on top of the original language.

I successfully used it to translate a game that advertised that it was in English and Japanese. It was only Japanese. I was able to play and understand by snapping images and translating them to English.

Not for me

Developer kindly explained how the app is supposed to work. It does not do what I wanted which is to hover-to-translate. Deleting. Some may find it useful.

You do need to snap a photo first rather than hovering as I find it hard sometimes to keep my arm still when trying to translate while holding my position while using other apps. I would rather snap a photo first. This is why I built the app. If you would rather translate without taking a photo, then this app is probably not for you. If the app is not translating Spanish into your target language, make sure that the language choice in the top right (your target language) is the language you want to translate into. The app will recognize the source language automatically from the image. I apologize for the jumbled translation. That shouldn’t happen. What is this app for? It does NOT translate--Spanish stayed in Spanish. It does the OCR thing (a jumbled mass of words), which Apple iOS does by default. I want an app that actually translates from a foreign language by holding the phone over the text, without having to first take a photo. Hence, one star rating.

Great

This is a great app. It works perfectly. Google translate works while hovering and this works after the photo is taken, which is much better and practical. Especially while traveling with friends. I’ve been using this in Mexico and haven’t had any issues with the product. It’s been extremely helpful. Will continue to use this as I travel quite a bit. I’m not sure why other people had an issue with the free trial. It was clearly for the annual subscription and not the lifetime… lifetime doesn’t even make sense as a free trial. Looks like they thought they could scam the developer and then now are blaming him. ANNUAL! Pretty indicative of the freeloaders in today’s society just wanting to take take take, and when they make mistakes it’s everyone else’s fault. Anyway - I’ll keep using this. Love it.

BE CAREFUL I RECEIVED AN OFFER TO GET THE LIFETIME VERSION FOR FREE, WHICH I ACCEPTED. WHEN I LOOKED AT MY SUBSCRIPTIONS IN APPLE IT SAID IT WAS JUST A FREE TRIAL AND AT SOME POINT I’D START TO GET CHARGED FOR IT. I CANCELLED IT. SHADY SHADY NOT COOL 👎🏻

I didn’t make the free lifetime offer clear enough (it is the green button below the “Continue” button). That is 100% my fault. Why isn’t the app subscription showing up as Premium lifetime updated? Is it a catch & switch?

Is today’s lifetime free premium a catch & switch fake promotion?

Just downloaded the app. Followed instructions, onboarding & selected lifetime $0 as advertised & promotion. However nothing in the app confirms it’s now premium.

I deleted & reinstalled the app. Went to app settings. Still no premium update. Tried subscription & restore . Nope 👎 not confirmed or lifetime premium free subscription.

Checked Apple purchase history.

100% NOT LIFETIME $00 PREMIUM Subscription hence either an oversight error by your company or an intentional fault advertising. Disappointed either way.
